Here's what I finally settled on, roster size of 26. So glad I found out about this contest last season. It's so hard to nail down a roster I feel 100% great about, but this one is close. If I can get to week 6 that'll be a new personal record. Good luck in the contest everyone!

At QB, I went with the homer pick over Burrow. I probably would've went Burrow, but hey, supposed to have fun in the contest, right? And perhaps this is the year the Chargers stay healthy at WR and Herbert throws like uncle Rico. With such an early bye for Herbert, I thought about rostering only him, but then came to my senses. Sure, I am likely dead meat if Herbert goes down, but I don't want to be out of it if he has one bad game.

Spent $83 on RB's, and I like my squad. I think Kamara will be highly owned, and for good reason. Not worried about the tiny bye conflict with Kamara/Zeke. Javonte is getting healthy and is much better than Perine. This won't be a timeshare.

Combined a few guys to snag Tyreek. Expect him to be an every-week contributor. Struggled with Lockett or Hopkins, but landed on the underrated Tyler. With Kupp ailing, I expect Van to be among the most common players this year.

Had a few bucks when I pivoted away from Mahomes, and used it on Noah Gray. Nice to have a 4th TE, and if Kelce misses any real time, Noah's $3 will be a steal.

I normally only carry 2 each at K & D, but decided to got 3 deep this year.

Guess we learned a lot of FBG cram for their Football Eve drafts :)

The tighter dollars has given this much more of an old-school distribution. Things had sort of gone away from 18-man rooster to a noticeable extent over the last couple of years by they are back in force this time around.

Will have fun digging in tomorrow :)

Travelling abroad from 08/11-25 put me in a bit of a time constraint with the Subscriber Contest, unfortunately.

Between an overnight flight home and needing the weekend to rest and recover, I jumped headfirst into the Draft Season fire on Monday 08/28, which just wrapped up at 10pm tonight, with the conclusion of my final FFPC/FPC Draft.

Glanced at this Contest here and there over the past 16 days, but between research, strategy sessions with my partner and Drafts, I didn't put pen to paper until about 2 hours before the deadline. This contest isn't easy, especially with such a convoluted set of NFL Bye Weeks. When I draft umpteen Teams, as much as I try to group Players into tiers in an effort to diversify across equivalent predicted statistical outcomes, I still have my favorites that wind up being 'Core Guys' on an overwhelming majority of my Teams.

In an effort to efficiently use the time I had, I clicked on all those Core Guys of mine, and then tried to work backwards to find a way to make it work.

I always try to build a 24-man Roster (the midway point between 18 - 30), and use the full bankroll. Tonight, under the gun, and pretty exhausted, I couldn't find a way to get out of these 22. I tried to be conscientious of Bye Weeks within positions, but as I post the Roster here now, it will be the first time I see how it worked across them. I'm not optimistic.

Doing the cutoff math there will be a minimum of 181 roosters in the final round. If you figure ties will bump that number up a little it'll probably end up around 190 or so.

I can't exactly put my finger on it at the moment, but something is amiss here. Pricing shouldn't be set as to narrow avenues to success.

If I calculated correctly (If anyone sees it differently please let me know) here is what the UNOFFICIAL cut to number should look like each week provided there are no ties. There were multiple weeks last year with ties at the cut number that pushed it. I will update each week after final score, like I did last year:

10% Week 2 cut to Number – 8073
10% Week 3 cut to Number – 7266
20% Week 4 cut to Number – 5813
20% Week 5 cut to Number – 4651
20% Week 6 cut to Number – 3721
20% Week 7 cut to Number – 2977
30% Week 8 cut to Number – 2084
30% Week 9 cut to Number – 1459
30% Week 10 cut to Number – 1022
30% Week 11 cut to Number – 716

For those of you who liked smaller rosters, the above is a prime example as to why you need to look at being built for comfort and not speed, over half the entries are gone by cut of week 5....an early injury or suspension does not help you if you can't get out of the starting blocks. Good luck to all!
 
My "depth" might be sketchy....all are my lowest % owned skill positions...

That's a lot. Based on 10% average ownership, you are only 10% likely to share the same 5 players with another team.

In other words, everyone's team is unique.

That's pretty fun; it's amazing the variety that is possible. I think this contest is my only share of Dicker, and I don't have a ton more Hill (not unusual I guess considering where he goes in drafts), but I do have a lot of Okonkwo. Maryland bias, I can't help myself.
 
Just curious, what was everyone’s biggest last minute decisions? (I’ll be tracking my own to see “what if?”)

For me - deciding on Garrett Wilson and Jav Williams plus a 3rd defense (falcons) over Ridley and Chubb. That’s probably a decision I’ll regret.
 
I went from 3 QB's to 2 as I was not happy with Pierce as my #2. I love Herbert this year so it made the decision easier.
