2024-25 NBA Thread: Finals court designs NBA ordered off Temu finally came in (58 Viewers)

Gotta be honest, didn’t realize the Grizzle won 48 games this year. Kinda crazy they have to go through this thing.

AD apparently a game time decision even though Kidd apparently has no idea what the setback was, if any
This could have some interesting draft consequences.

With Heat looking fairly likely to beat Atlanta, a Mavs win would give the Kings a coin flip to keep their pick. I also believe Memphis would keep their own pick if they lose (too lazy to verify, so just trust me).
Yes, Memphis will keep their pick if they lose because that will put them into the lottery and the pick is lottery protected. Washington will then get two 2nds instead of pick 18-20 this year.
I guess with the Heat winning, they give their first rounder to Toronto.

Thunder, not Toronto. If Miami had lost it would have been an unprotected 2026 first rounder

Thanks - I misread that.

A huge win for Miami to keep their 2026 1st. I don't think they will be very good next year. Good for the league too, sans OKC.

Dallas in round 1 would have been a sweet deal for OKC.

Dallas needs to pull the plug on AD'S season. Getting RGIII vibes with him running around with his injured leg.

Why on earth is Memphis wearing "Vancouver Grizzlies" at a home playoff(ish) game?

"I know this may be our only chance to host a postseason game, but we should reference everyone back to our previous city." Why?

I’m sure it’s just me, but the fact that lottery odds are determined by actual coin flips is fascinating to me. On Monday the following ties will be flipped for.

9-10: Rockets (from Suns) vs Trail Blazers
11-12: Bulls vs Mavericks
13-14: Hawks (from Kings) vs Spurs (from Hawks)

They should force the team owners to participate and televise the event.

@Frostillicus

Have you seen anybody actually pick the Wolves yet? I love this.

Glad they won pretty easily. While the end of their season was inexplicably mayhem, they played too well overall this year to miss the playoff.

The West shook out probably as it should with teams in the 3-8 spots being pretty interchangeable.

Mavs on pace to hold Memphis to 132. Suffocating.
Defense wins championships

That Dallas defense doesnt even win play-ins :lmao:
Don't worry Nico was right along we will all see in this three year mastermind window

I know a lot of us think the owners were behind the trade but did Nico and Luka have friction? It reminds me when Bill O'Brien was running the Texans and traded DHop during his prime for peanuts partly because his inner Catholic didn't like all the baby mommas Hopkins would bring around team facilities. I still hate BOB's guts for single handedly destroying my Texans back then.

I'm glad Memphis won. They should give OKC a fight especially if Morant gets healthy. They're a well balanced team at full strength.

Yea that’s a rough 8 seed for OKC. I dismissed them the other day probably bc I listen to too much Bill Simmons and he was dumping on them.

Ryen Rusillo did on his podcast but that's the only person I've heard. Everyone says "it's going to be a great series. Lakers in 7"

Not at full strength though. Jaylen Wells started 74 games for them, and he is out. And Brandon Clarke is also out

Hack-an-Ant working thus far
Why he has stuck with this super slow, use the full 10 second process is beyond me. It just adds something more to worry about.

The best way to shoot is to not think. Or think/focus on 1 or 2 things. Let your muscle memory take over. His form isn't terrible, it's all in his mind.

Milwaukee is getting worked today. Can't even hit an open shot and Indy is on fire.

I thought the shooting variance would even out in the 2nd half, but I think it's worse.

Kuzma is garbage. What a fraud he was at Washington. The stats indicated he was a volume scorer, but I thought maybe it was just because he was trying to do too much with the Wizards. Nope, guy is just terrible.

My goodness is the ESPN studio crew terrible. We need Chuck, Ernie, Shaq and Kenny.

I know it's not exactly fair to compare them as the TNT crew is iconic, but I don't like a single member of the ESPN crew.
ESPN’s WNBA crew is 100x better than their NBA team.

I love Ernie and Kenny’s ok, but Chuck and Shaq have been mailing it in for the past few years. They used to be great and still have their funny moments, but I don’t care much for the TNT crew either.
