As the lowest surviving Member of Joe's badge offer, I needed almost every point my team scored to survive. I only had about 17 points that I didn't use this week and 11 of those points were from two of the three defenses i have.

It doesn't matter if you survive by ,01 points or scored 200 points this week. None of that matters in week 7.

Survive and advance, those are the only rules.
Anything goes....

That last sequence of Ertz/Lane/Ertz may have put me over the top. Can't believe it. For a minute there, it felt like it was going to come down to whatever player touched the ball last. Still might. Who knows.
Did you make it?
Yep.

TOTAL 125.45
CUT LINE 117.75

I was stressing so much watching both games at once that I lost track of where we were in the WAS/CHI game. Was thinking it was the 4th when it was only the 3rd quarter. At one point, at least 2 or 3 plays in a row, I dropped below the cutline, then back above on the next play, etc. I was literally straddling the cut line, depending on which guy for WAS touched the ball on a particular play.
Ertz caught a pass over the middle that put me a couple of points over the line. Then, the deep ball to Lane was an unexpected play that gave me about a 5-6 pt cushion. The TD to Ertz sealed it and I was about a dozen points over. I think it was around 125-113 at that point. Then, the cut line started moving back up slowly, but not enough to catch me.

Very fortunate to survive. Both of my scoring RB's (Bill and Warren) scored 7.3 pts each. My two flex scores were Odunze (5.2) and Lane (5.4). Sutton and Egbuka (two of my top three WR) didn't even count this week. I was bailed out by Downs (16.2), Ertz (19.3), and PK Grupe (18.4). Any of those three fail to score double-digits, and I would have been toast. If you would have told me that those would be my top-scoring players for the week (besides Rodgers at QB), I would have said I'm toast.

Only Bateman on bye this week. Geno and LVR Def next week. The injuries are what could hurt me. Would be nice to get Pearsall back while Hampton and Egbuka are on the mend. Should be interesting.

Don’t you know I’m still standing’ better than I ever did?
Lookin’ like a true survivor, feelin’ like a little kid.

Got just enough MNF points to carry me through. Atlanta, Palmer, and Bill all added points to my total (but not many).

On to week 7, without Josh Allen, Palmer, Egbuka, and maybe Puka. And the rest of my WRs, except for Rome, stink.

Chip and a chair, baby!

While it sucks to get eliminated, I think I’ve learned a valuable lesson for next year:

The roster size is irrelevant. What matters is
1. Picking players who don’t suck.
2. Picking players who won’t get hurt.

I shall henceforth endeavor to pick only healthy players who don’t suck. Easy! Y’all are doomed next year.

Damn why didn’t we all think of this? Genius!

Yeah, but we already knew that stuff this year when we were making our rosters.... and we still picked players that got hurt and/or sucked.

What we need is a December newspaper in August so we can see who sucked and who go hurt, and then avoid rostering any of those players.

(and if you ever do manage to get your hands on a future newspaper..... whatever you do, don't look at the obituaries...)

Survived (as noted by TheWinz) with 160.75 points. But this week I won't have Connor (obvioulsy not just for this week) or Egbuka (in all likelihood). But I have no Baltimore or Buffalo players (the bye teams this week) and hopefully Evens and Pearsall return to bolster my WR receiver corps.
Hopefully Evans and Pearsall return soon.
The Dak/ Pickens combo is the only thing carrying me now.

If only you had told me this 6-7 weeks ago. Hehe.... 6-7. See what I did there?

My options this week (guesses in bold)

QB
Dak Prescott vs WAS - Leads the NFL in attempts, and is 2nd in both yardage and TD's.
Geno Smith at KC

RB
Chase Brown vs PIT - I expected more dump-offs from Flacco last week, and he needs to increase his snap share over Perine this week
RJ Harvey vs NYG
Jacory Croskey-Merritt at DAL - 34 touches in the last 2 weeks is more than he had in the first 4 games combined
Woody Marks at SEA - Hoping for a repeat of week 4 where he had 4 catches

WR
Terry McLaurin at DAL - hasn't officially been ruled OUT yet, but I ain't holding my breath
George Pickens vs WAS - Lamb has a shot at coming back, but hoping he sits another week to let Pickens eat
Stefon Diggs at TEN - I like having both Diggs and Boutte, as one or the other usually has a good game
Matthew Golden at ARI - Double digits in 3 straight weeks
Emeka Egbuka at DET - hasn't officially been ruled OUT yet, but I ain't holding my breath
Jalen Coker at NYJ - hasn't officially been ruled OUT yet, but I ain't holding my breath
Jahan Dotson at MIN
Kayshon Boutte at TEN

TE
Dallas Goedert at MIN - Putting all my eggs in his basket for a TE score
Pat Freiermuth at CIN - My biggest bust. I have totally given up on him, and so has Aaron Rodgers

PK
Chris Boswell at CIN - neither kicker having a great season, but he should have more chances
Daniel Carlson at KC

TD
KC vs LV - a few great choices here, at least on paper
LAC vs IND
NE at TEN

Looking above, not feeling good, but at least I have healthy players to choose from

152.3 in week 6.

176.7 ppg through week 6.

25/30 players and $230/$250 have cracked my lineup. The exceptions are 5 of my 14 WRs: 3 rookies (Higgins, Bryant, K Williams) and 2 guys who I knew would start the season on IR (Aiyuk, Coker).

No every-week starters, but RB Barkley & TE McBride have each started 5 of 6 weeks. That doesn't mean they've been my best players - I'd put Egbuka as my team's MVP so far and Barkley is closer to Most Disappointing than Most Valuable.

With basically zero prep Flacco was an upgrade and the passing game achieved some measure of utility. Further improvement and actually having more like a fully realized game plan and opening drive script should improve it further....hopefully to the point where Brown can accidentally fall into the end zone.

Enjoyed reading the team summary report by @ZWK above, so I replicated his info for my squad

192.35 in week 6.

Averaged 187.2 ppg through week 6.

27/29 players and $245/$250 have cracked my lineup. The exceptions are 1of my 10 WRs (Pat Bryant) and 1 of my 6 TEs (D. Knox), aka Allen's best bud

No every-week starters, but JSN has counted 5 weeks and Prescott, Chase Brown, JCM Bill, and Egbuka have counted 4 times each. Yes, that Chase Brown, my RBs were obviously not chosen wisely, but I still have hope for them. I don't really see anyone player that has vastly disappointed thus far, but the top three RBs are the closest (Brown, Harvey & Henderson). As the season presses on, Prescott may have to carry the mail weekly as Geno Smith is not looking like I was hoping for. I considered Daniel Jones as my second QB, but could not pull the trigger.

So far I've used 20/21 players, only player yet to contribute is Keaton Mitchell, so that's only $4.

Bijan and Tyler Warren are the only ones who have counted 5 times, and Bijan had a bye in there. I think it's a good sign that I'm not overly dependent on too many individual players (but if Bijan misses any time, my whole roster is sunk). I like that my WRs and TEs are all contributing, and the drop off between scores that counted and scores that didn't isn't very large. (For example, I could have survived multiple weeks losing my top WR score, and using Egbuka's double digit score that didn't count those weeks).

My team is averaging 172.57 points per week, and averaging 43.76 points over the cutline each week, with my lowest clear being 16.95 points over the cutline in week 5, which was by far my worst bye week (6/21 players on bye, 36% of cap, including most expensive RB, 1 of 2 QBs, Ks, and DEFs).

Player Bye Cost Points Used?
QB Jared Goff 8 16 117.55 4
Jordan Love 5 15 59.45 2
RB Bijan Robinson 5 37 112.2 5
Chase Brown 10 26 34.9 4
Braelon Allen 9 10 5.7 1
Nick Chubb 6 8 26.3 2
Keaton Mitchell 7 4 0 0
WR Courtland Sutton12 19 78.9 4
Calvin Ridley 10 16 18.1 1
Rome Odunze 5 15 79.6 4
Emeka Egbuka 9 10 73 3
Tre Tucker 8 5 52.9 2
Keenan Allen 12 5 63.1 4
Elic Ayomanor 10 2 21.3 2
TE T.J. Hockenson 6 18 31.2 2
Tucker Kraft 5 15 53.8 3
Tyler Warren 11 14 90.8 5
K Cam Little 8 4 41.3 4
Chris Boswell 5 4 30.3 2
DEF KC Chiefs 10 4 23 4
Atlanta Falcons 5 3 22 2

Upcoming bye week concerns:

Week 8 - Will only have 1 QB (Love @ Steelers, which seems like poor planning on my part), and 1 Kicker. Will only be missing Tre Tucker from skill positions though.

Week 10 - Missing Chase Brown (who unfortunately has still counted 4 times despite his terrible start). Seems unlikely Nick Chubb will have a significant role by that point in the season, so will need him to vulture a goal line TD or Braelon Allen to get healthy and do the same to have any sort of usable RB2 score. Will be missing Ridley and Ayomanor, but that seems fine, as Egbuka should be healthy by then. Will also only have 1 DEF (Falcons @ Colts, which didn't look scary pre-season, but looks scary now).

Week 12 - Will be missing top WR (Sutton), and Keenan Allen. Both have counted 4 out of 6 times so far, but hopefully I've got enough depth to survive that.
