If the media had stopped reporting about him 6 months ago, you'd have never reached that level of acceptance. Trump is going to show up on Fox News as much as he wants as long as he wants. Carlson, Hannity, et al. are going to keep doing what they do and their viewers will continue to be the vast majority of those "very loyal followers" no matter what the rest of the media does. All we can do is hope that some portion of his cult eventually recognizes the same thing you now see and that that portion is significant enough to restore sanity to the GOP.

FYI - @Stealthycat has already stated he would vote for Trump again against a democrat. I'm sure anyone running in a GOP primary that could restore sanity to the GOP would be dismissed as a RINO. So, I don't think any such recognition matters.
This is not true unless the Republican is one who thinks the election was rigged and who are ok with the riots on the capital and ok with Trump trying to steal the election. If a Republican does not support any of the above then some Democrats, including me, would consider them.
