I really hope he's actually paying his bills. The lawyers must just go bang their heads on the wall every time he comes up with a new lie.Another lie exposed
This dude has changed his story and lied about this so many times. Here's the latest:
Trump said the FBI found classified documents at his home because federal workers packed them. But emails Bloomberg got show boxes were already packed when movers arrived.
Random question (given that it's now clear that he had top secret documents): does anybody here actually think it's okay/no issue that Trump took top secret documents after he left the White House? I'm genuinely curious here. To be clear, this question does not concern or consider criminal culpability. I'm simply wondering whether there are people who may actually think his actions were just fine (regardless of whether it was a criminal act, broke some policy, etc.).
Eh, I'd just make sure he'd sign an attached affidavit/declaration to any substantive pleading.Problem is that there have already been multiple filings now in three different courts. By signing the pleadings, the attorneys are saying that they have a good faith belief that the facts are true. Every time he comes up with a new lie that contradicts the previous filings, those pleadings put the attorneys at risk for sanctions. I can't believe anyone would still represent him. Just career suicide.Eventually one sticks! The lawyers must just go bang their heads on the wall every time he comes up with a new lie.Another lie exposed

A lot of us don't need "exposure" or even want that. That's a public myth.I really hope he's actually paying his bills. The lawyers must just go bang their heads on the wall every time he comes up with a new lie.Another lie exposed

They're being paid in exposure. They have to know that going in, right?

If Trump took any top secret documents that he hadn’t declassified I am certain it was just a gaffe.Random question (given that it's now clear that he had top secret documents): does anybody here actually think it's okay/no issue that Trump took top secret documents after he left the White House? Put more simply: is it okay for a former president to just take top secret documents home after his term?
I guess I'll (perhaps unfairly) call our @knowledge dropper @Stealthycat @BladeRunner @quick-hands

He’s older, it happens. Also, he was relatively new to governmentmental archive requirements after a legendary successful career in the private sector. Rules are different. Because The NY Times says so? Please. So it was all just a mistake. Great schtick...really.He’s older, it happens. Also, he was relatively new to governmentmental archive requirements after a legendary successful career in the private sector. Rules are different. Mistakes happen.
Was it also just a mistake when they lied that they gave it all back and the FBI had to go in and get it? How about now that there seems to be more they still have not returned?

NYT is the source of the story that Trump has more documents?Because The NY Times says so? Please. So it was all just a mistake. Great schtick...really.He’s older, it happens. Where did I quote the NYT? There are plenty of sources reporting what he had, showing they claimed they returned it all, showing they didn't really return it all leading to the raid in questions...and now questioning whether he still has not returned it all.
And of all people to question a source...sorry if I roll my eyes at a fan of pjmedia, gatewaypundit, redstate...questioning sources? Please.
They were the first to report it...has it been questiioned?NYT is the source of the story that Trump has more documents?Because The NY Times says so? Please. So it was all just a mistake. You're trying to hard GBHe’s older, it happens. Also, he was relatively new to governmentmental archive requirements after a legendary successful career in the private sector. Rules are different. Mistakes happen.
Unfortunately, it worked for previous morons...no reason to see why it wouldn't apply to this one. It's not a stretch to assume the entirety of his staff had no clue how to work with this stuff.I don't think Trump can plead ignorance. He has lawyers.

Breaking WaPo:
A Trump employee has told federal agents about moving boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago at the specific direction of Trump. The witness account — combined with security-camera footage — offers key evidence of Trump's behavior.
