Kansas City Chiefs at Miami Dolphins (1 Viewer)

Meatloaf is actually a HUGE Fantasy Football fan. He gets in to a ton of leagues and takes it very seriously. He may have missed on his sleeper picks, but I wouldn't scoff at him talking Fantasy.
I've met the Loaf and I can vouch for that.

I could tell at how energetic he was at the topics on hand that he's serious. However, getting into lots and lots of leagues or even big money leagues doesn't make him good at it. I'm sure he's like the rest of us, win some you lose some. But if you watch him, it's like he thinks he's the only one that knows that Ferrotte is going up against the KC defense and he has a shot at having a decent day. Whatever, I was just surprised to see him giving fantasy football advice.........not to long ago I saw him playing Celebrity Poker on TV and the last time I saw him before that was years and years ago on a music video.

Didn't you see fight club??It had a well endowed loaf in it

NFL Sunday ticket?
It's not sunday - that's the problem. that's why we are all here and not in front of TVs.
I think that's a crap rule. I and whoever else has ordered the games paid good cash and I feel a bit jipped actually. I mean, if it were on somewhere else I wouldn't care so much but whatever lame excuse it is about not getting it on TV is just that, lame.
it's not DirecTV's call.
Ok, why not. I mean, it's their call on Sunday, I'm not sure what's the big deal? Somehow they had rights to the game and it's obvious they lost the rights. For whatever reason, I think there's a flaw in whatever contract they have.
go read the other threads - there's a TON of info - it is a contractual thing and it has to do with College and high school football.
Thanks for the offer, but I can already tell it's B.S. That argument is what I said, lame. So I guess NBA basketball, hockey, baseball etc... won't be on Friday nights either I suppose
You should probably take him up on his offer as this has been posted on multiple threads:There is a Federal Antitrust law prohibiting the NFL from broadcasting games in the same day as high school or college football. Don't blame the NFL or Direct TV. Call your local Senator or Congressman.

It is a rule. Live with it.

Next year or the year after the NFL will be nat'l broadcast on Thurs., Sat, Sun amd Mon nights.

if this actually happens my wife will divorce me

They reached agreement in principle at last owner mtg.

remember when the Chiefs in the red zone was Tony Gonzalez territory....ahhhhh, those were the days.....

I believe Marc, I just think the reasoning behind it is lame. So, if the league would have been a little more proactive and had the game on Thursday it could have been televised by Direct TV?

I may die old and lonely but I will LOVE football season even more.

No, I remember Priest scoring 3, 4 and 5 Td's a game with an occasional TD pass thrown in there...........and they'd lose by 3!

my phins getting killed - on a positive note, my active players in the game are doing very well (Tynes and LJ)

As a Gonzo owner last year, I'd recommend going back and reviewing the stats.

Good lord, I just realized...The KC Defense has scored no fantasy points for me.Oh, my--what have I done....

Not unless you can get last nights VT/Maryland game moved. The law includes college games.

As a Fins fan, your team will/should get a decent pick in the draft next year? What would you like to see them go after? Obviously they have a pretty good young back. I hope they don't make the same mistake Detroit has in going after receivers. I think they need to build an offensive line around this guy.

Be right back then, I'll look up the rushing TD's vs. the Td's Gonzo had to see who's territory it was.

Boy, Chambers is really laying an egg tonight. I don't care how much raw talent they keep saying he has - that just doesn't get it done in Fantasy Football. And what's up with FBG's rating the Miami passing matchup against KC as "Great"? A very bad offense against a very bad defense does not equal "great" matchup.

On a more positive note, nice chicken!

i've beern begging for three years for more OL help, so Saban will probably pick a QB.i have no problem with that, actually, there's three or four QBs in the upcoming draft I'd be very happy with.

I can't believe I actually considered benching Fitz or Holt for Chambers this week. Thank God I cmae to my senses. KC D has been pretty solid tonight. Gave the one big play to Ronnie Brown but not too bad other than that.

The rushing game of KC last year had over a 3-1 ratio to TD's vs. Gonzo last year who had 7 Td's.......as far as Td's go, Gonzo had a more productive year the previous year with 10.

They obviously had more rushing TDs, but Gonzo got a pretty nice share as well (and was just about the only receiver to do so).

Brilliant! This is exactly why I didn't give up on this thread an hour or so ago. :D

Sure it's a rule, but arguing rules is how they get changed.......which leads into your next topic. I notice that they don't mess with Friday's, I hope it's not because of that high school thing, that is just ridiculous. Next, they'll say it can't be on Sunday's at 1 PM Eastern because people on the West Coast won't go to church if it's on. Give me a break, people have choices, put the freaken game on TV!
It's illegal for the NFL to show the game nationally tonight. Your true beef is with Congress.

here's a nice link on the topic..."Who is General Tso, and why are we eating his chicken."

CHICKEN!

and now back to our regulary scheduled programming, which is blacked out for most of the nation...

What were the other 31 teams' ratios of rushing-to-TE TDs?Gonzo has done pretty well in years past.
