Music Draft - Rolling Stone Greatest 500 Songs Garbage List - Now with unhealthy regional pork-stuffs! (3 Viewers)

When most people tell me they are going to watch their team, I assume its a bar or a buddy's house. When K4 tells me she's going  to watch a game, I assume she's going to the game. Ang maybe buy a suite or two.

It's entirely possible she went out to watch the game, though. That's what I was sort of getting at, anyway.

Oh yeah, sorry, just went out to see the game on TV, not in person.

I have a tradition of going out for Sunday football, going back a billion years, but where I am now it's been a challenge to find a satisfactory place to go.  For a couple of years we were going to a local Mexican joint, but COVID-related issues made me not comfortable with that one anymore.  We auditioned a different local Mexican the past two weeks but also weren't sold on it for various reasons.  Today we went to a pan-Asian place we'd never been to, and it was FANTASTIC.  I'd eaten there once and enjoyed the food, but didn't realize the bar had a great setup with seven TVs, and the "regulars" (and this is definitely a place for regulars) were friendly and cool even to us outsiders.  We joined a squares pool they have every week.

The only downside is that one of the regulars was very blatantly hitting on me (believe me because I usually don't notice until someone else points it out), which is not a humble-brag in that he had approx. 12 teeth.  It was very uncomfortable.  We will try again in two weeks but I hope we can shake that.

Usually true!  You are not wrong!

Speaking of going to the games, one of the other things I discovered in reinvigorating a 15-year-old Gmail account was a ton of messages from the guy who used to give me ALL THE STUFF to get my business when I was a bigwig.  Super Bowl tickets (Bears/Colts with Prince at halftime), White Sox world series, Blackhawks Stanley Cup suite tickets, etc.  He had sent me messages from 2017 to now.  I felt like such an ####### because then it looked like I was blowing him off after all he'd done.  Luckily I emailed and he responded immediately.

You should rat him out to the owner.  I'm sure if knew some innuendo was the reason you did not want to go to his joint anymore, he would likely resolve it to everyones satisfaction,

Looks like Manster was tagged more than an hour ago?  Anyone know when?  Just want to keep up on the 2:27 clock.

#448.  Tyrone.   Erykah Badu.

Not my favorite of hers, but I really like her a lot. Mama's Gun is the first album of hers I heard and it's great album.  If I had to pick one song of hers itd prolly Breathe on My Neck

"Look, buddy, my ex-husband who is now my rent-paying roommate is an apprentice fishmonger and he will filet your ### if you try anything."

Impressions - People Get Ready (#122)

@rockaction

This one was all strategy more than any other pick I've made so far.  This grouping got pummeled a while back, and at this point only had five songs left in it.  For me, they were two Happy Greens, two Angry Reds, and one unshaded okey-dokey.  I kept following the people before and after me for a few rounds, because if two were taken outside of my Angry Reds, I'd be at risk of getting something I really didn't want.

Once Mrs. R took my unshaded okey-dokey, it meant that, before I'd get another chance at them, there would be two people choosing (setting aside Uruk who wouldn't be to this group yet), meaning if they took my two Happy Greens I'd be stuck with an Angry Red.  Can't risk that!  So I'm happy to address this group and get one of my Happy Greens in this very close call.

When you return to the Summerpalooza FF league, you should name your team The Angry Reds.

I'd just like to make clear, in case it wasn't evident, that my mom wanted to come over to share a "surprise" with me and that her surprise was that she is getting a new car.

My linear-brain reaction is "you couldn't tell me that over the phone?" But I know some moms like to break news to their kids with fanfare.

Well, she brought me some sort of stuffed dog.  I guess it's a little dog with a Subaru shirt they give you?  And she said she asked if she could get an extra one, which they gave her.  So, you know, there was a stuffed dog involved, too.

276. Buzzcocks “Ever Fallen In Love”

Of all the early songs of punk rock, this is arguably the most melodic. It’s so expertly written that it would work in any genre. If James Taylor had performed this in his acoustic, singer songwriter style in 1971, it still would have been a classic.

Our neighbor across the street works for Subaru (who has a big corporate office in South Jersey). I'll have to subtly bring up the stuffed dogs next time I speak to her. We're a Honda family, though.

This is in the top 5 of "most Tim" comments I have seen on this board.
