An Angry Red in a section you've picked from is still better than a Happy Green in a section you haven't picked from.Aw crap, I didn't realize I already took in this section now, before he took my Angry Red. But yes, that was one. The other rhymes with ####ney Peers.

Never saw this before. It takes some work to make Bussey seem like the sane normal person,IN FOUR MINUTES! (1:40 of link)

I remember it from a promo I saw years ago. Mr. Loaf bellowing "IN FOUR MINUTES!" has been etched in my brain ever since. (And half the time I open the fridge, I can't remember why.) I've never actually watched the show. How the hell did you pull something like that?![]()

A few thoughts.
Every drafter should have one "undraftable" designation to a song.
It would be fun to include the "undraftable list" from this draft. It wpuld likely get more attention than any of our playlists.
After round 20, I say we go to a 10 second clockOkay, that was on thought, here's another:
We should dradtically reduce draft times when we near the end. Think about it, after R20 you only have five picks left. and 2-3 of them are the only song left in the tier and the others are in a group of 2-3. It should not be a terribly difficult to chose. And absolutely no reason to not to leave a list.

Why is it so important to be done with this?Okay, that was on thought, here's another:

One more, since this thread is dead anyway. I told the foster mom they would need to be good with other cats, and she sent me a pic of them snuggled with her own cats. Look at this pile of kitties!
He's a poser, and he will look straight at my eyes and not blink. I blink before he does.Oh, he's a super-model!
Why are you anxious to wait hours for someone to pick when s/he has three choices, each a single song remaining in a tier? and the only choice is which order to choose them? Why is it so important to be done with this?
I'll go an infinity draft if you want, as long I have some payoff for spending 850 Screen refreshes a day
I'm not anxious for anything. It's an online music draft. I get up, I pick. If I don't get up, I don't pick. Maybe I try to tell a few jokes along the way. Hopefully, I don't get stuck with Scenes From An Italian Restaurant. Other than that, the mechanics don't interest me much. Why are you anxious to wait hours for someone to pick when s/he has three choices, each a single song remaining in a tier? and the only choice is which order to choose them?

He's a huge influence on Elliott Smith and the indie singer-songwriter types like him.I know he was depressed and possibly suicidal and the lyrics are a bit dark, but there's a weird sense of hope and possible resignation to the natural world and its wonders in the album. I really enjoyed it.
Oh yeah, no doubt. I'm not really that new to him, because I'd heard songs just in the ether, but I haven't ever sat with one of his albums and listened to it straight through. The pace and brevity of the songs were what impressed me most. Singer/songwriters tend to get indulgent in either lyrics or instrumentation; it seemed like every note mattered here. I loved that. I can see why he would be such an influence. He's a huge influence on Elliott Smith and the indie singer-songwriter types like him.
I feel this way about "Tears of a Clown". Ugh.Hopefully, I don't get stuck with Scenes From An Italian Restaurant.
Is it the Pagliacci reference?I feel this way about "Tears of a Clown". Ugh.
Just got a 1/3 of the way through listening to Nick Drake per simey's sort of challenge. Listened to Pink Moon. It's a quick, taut, well-paced album that emphasizes just Drake and a guitar besides the piano on the track that bears the album's name. It's quite a lovely album, never meanders, and is edited well, which I love to see. I read all the lyrics and wasn't too moved, but the real moving is in his voice and guitar picking. They're lovely and the center of the album. It's been said that he had trouble live because his guitar was tuned differently for every song, even sometimes within the song.
