Music Draft - Rolling Stone Greatest 500 Songs Garbage List - Now with unhealthy regional pork-stuffs! (1 Viewer)

I have four blocs with 6, 7 or 8 No Hesitation picks left. But only one has a Beatles song in it.

14.22 Yesterday -- The Beatles (#72, bloc 51-75)

It's only, like, the most famous song ever.

@Uruk-Haiup. I believe @krista4and/or @Yo Mamahas his pick.

You don't know how much it killed me not to go double-Beatles and take "Fast Car" instead.  :heart:

For Uruk:

Bobby Gentry - Ode to Billie Joe  (#191)

@Ilov80s up!

I drafted her in Genrepalooza.

The Bobbie Gentry tribute album that Buffalo's own Mercury Rev put out a couple years ago is better than the average tribute.

By the way, I realize it is "Bobbie" not "Bobby," but I went with the spelling on the spreadsheet.  :lol:

Oh, by the way, as I was out driving today I heard the following song on the "Deep Tracks" station of SiriusXM:  "Ruby Tuesday."  No, not some obscure version, but The Rolling Stones.  :mellow:
Its funny what they consider deep sometimes. Iv heard Van Halens Ain't Talkin bout Love and Unchained on there and don't consider them deep tracks. Deep tracks usually don't appear on your greatest hits CDs.

Round 14

54 The Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles

always room for more Motown

You're welcome.  Had this queued up for sure for sure and then made a last-minute switch to Tracy Chapman, in order to avoid just taking the same stuff I always do and also to get a female.  LOVE this song!

I remember when the movie was made out of this song in the mid 70s or so.  I wasn't expecting the big thing that happened in it.  I had a brief crush on Robby Benson. I liked him in One on One.

There are still a bunch of songs that I love unequivocally

Plenty of talent available
Agreed. I've already decided on what bloc I'm picking in the last round because I'd be fine with anything left from it. I've got at least 6 No Hesitation picks left in all my remaining blocs, though that could dwindle quickly depending on what others do.

For those of you who care, which is all of you, Otis won Fat Bear Week this year.  I think it was simey who called him out as a contender?
