RB TreVeyon Henderson, NE (3 Viewers)

4.02 - 12 team redraft
Watched him go at like 4.11/5.1, wasn't going to get him on the way back late in the 5th so I moved him up my board

You can see what it going to unfold there in New England and then check out that soft serve schedule they have, should be very competitive most weeks
Love the upside, he'll be drafted much higher in coming weeks, he can split time with RS thru Sept and some of Oct but eventually he is going to cement himself and he's a playmaker

Just traded up from 1.07 to 1.03 in our keeper/contract league rookie draft to take Henderson.

Had already confirmed Jeanty and Hampton are going #1 & #2 beforehand. I was leaning this way prior to last weekend, to be clear. I prefer RB over WR for my team (and our league rules in general, since ours isn't a dynasty league). Was planning to take Kalib Johnson if I stayed at 1.07. But began to fear Kalib could go before my pick... so this was as much about avoiding a WR/TE decision at 1.07 vs any Henderson hype. I do have a slight nagging fear I may regret not swinging for the fences with Travis Hunter at 1.03, but much easier to go get a good WR than a good RB in our league.

I gave up Chase Brown for the 1.05, 1.13, and a future 2nd. I took Henderson with the 1.05 and Burden with the 1.13.

I have Henderson in 4 of 6 leagues (3 DEVY, 3 standard Dynasty). So, I’m heavily invested.

… I took Quinshon over him. Anyone here wanna feel sad with me?

I mostly did it because I have Rhamo, and still believe in him. I loved Quinshon coming in, also, I believe in Dylan Sampson.

So my thought process was, I have Rhamo. So that’s OK. I’ll take Quinshon, AND Sampson late .. best of all worlds?

Just drafted Henderson 1.04 and Burden with the 14th pick in Friday. Can't recall on us agreeing on anything. Probably not good? 😂

I do like the Judkins/Sampson pairing... of course, I would have been ok with the Henderson/Stevenson pairing as well.

Best of luck with it.

Giardi wrote this in his 53-man roster projection today:

RBs (3): Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Antonio Gibson - The Lan Larison bug never bit me, although he showed enough to get stashed in some way or form. The foot surgery, while unfortunate for him, made it easier on the team. As for the other three, I wasn't in the camp of shopping one. You'll need all three. Henderson has been the Pats' best offensive player this summer, even with the occasional drop. And though I hate the phrase 'Not even close,' I believe that's true in this case.

Got a share at 6.6 as my RB2 in a 12 team redraft, hopefully the usage is there.
Wow. That's basically where he WAS before preseason game 1. He's now moving up into late 4th/early 5th where you find the J. Conner/Kamara tier.

This is getting pricey.
I was a bit surprised he lasted and almost pulled the trigger in the 5th. Time will tell, but happy to have a share at the cost.

When it's all said and done Henderson will be looked at as he should have been 1.01 in rookie drafts.
What are your projections for Henderson this season, and do you still believe this is the case if it’s a non-PPR league?
I don't play non-PPR, so I will defer to you on that. Otherwise, I think he will have better overall numbers than Jeanty at the end of the year. I think long term he will have better fantasy numbers than Jeanty. I'm not sure about Hampton vs Henderson. I think Henderson will be more explosive in combination with rushing and receiving, but Hampton could lead the two in rushing yards. I think Henderson's floor is 1,200 total yards, with upside for more. Probably around 900 rushing yards and 300-450 yards receiving with 40-50 receptions. TDs are too difficult to predict.

Another TD for Henderson.

This time running tough up the middle.

He's going to be drafted in the 2nd round by the end of this weekend.
I know it’s preseason and a small sample size but Henderson running between the tackles was my concern with him, and he’s been passing the eye test in every regard so far. Loved him at Ohio State, had him as my RB2 going into the NFL Draft, loved that the Pats took him. I’m all in on Henderson. He looks far and away like the best skill player on that offense.

If Stevenson can play up to his best-level and be a legit hammer Henderson will be that much more of a weapon...Gibson as a #3 is a plus as well.

In case it helps, I picked Henderson at 1.03 in our rookie draft today.

Our order, so far:

1. Trains Warriors Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders
2. Step-Dads (from Buffalo Wild) Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers
3. J Giles Band (from Burlington) TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Patriots
4. Dixie Normous Quinshon Judkins, RB, Browns
5. Buffalo Wild (from Step-Dads) Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Panthers
6. McLovin R.J. Harvey, RB, Broncos
7. Burlington Bruins (from J Giles) Travis Hunter, WR, Jaguars
8. Mountain Marauders Emeka Egbuka, WR, Buccaneers

Well. I got the 2nd pick this Sunday and have been absolutely locked in Hampton. Today Im wondering if it should be Henderson. Smh
Go with your instinct. If you’re questioning it, it’s probably because Henderson is showing you something you wish you saw in Hampton. Hampton has the better situation but I’m not convinced he’s the better talent. Draft capital and situation favors Hampton but it also favored CEH over JT. Probably not the best comparison but last year I remember Worthy being consensus ahead of BTJ because Worthy was tied to Mahomes, but I went with BTJ because I liked his profile better. At the end of the day we’re all just guessing. All that being said nothing wrong with either guy, it’s all about who you believe in more.

That's prolly the right 1, 2 and 3. I just got the fever and the cure is more Henderson. Gotta fight it and take Hampton tomorrow.

Agree with this 100%.

I had Hampton ahead of Henderson and would have picked Hampton at 1.02 without reservation. I am glad I didn't have 1.01 as I think I like Hampton (and potentially Henderson as well) more than Jeanty. Time will tell of course, but I'm just as well not to have had that decision (albeit not the consensus).

Interesting...Judkins ahead of Tet, Hunter or even EE....

Yep... clearly the 'reach' of the draft thus far. Of course you might not have said that back in May. But had the news not broken this week that he wouldn't face charges, I was expecting Judkins to go late 1st / or more likely, early-to-mid 2nd round.

If this is IDP and Hunter is there after 1.01 I am taking him. Not that Henderson isn’t a great pick, but I gotta have that dual threat.

In a redraft league, would you be comfortable with him as your RB2?
Probably yes. Depends on my build. I wish he could be had a round later. I could see going RB-WR-WR- Hendo depending how the draft breaks and where I’m picking. From the 1.01 if he’s there at 4.12 he’s automatic.

That’s exactly how @FreeBaGeL built his team in FGB league 4. Great foundation for a team.

I think he's going to be going most likely in the 3rd going forward..

I have the 7th pick in my main league.....not sure he makes it back to 3.07 cause the guys in front of me are pretty solid and know he won't make it back to them in the 4th.....would not be surprised if he goes early third.......lol....which means if i want to guarantee I get him I have to take him in the second.....oof

I passed on Hunter at 1.02 in IDP for Hampton

Oh man. I’m still debating Hunter or Henderson at 1.02 in non-IDP non-PPR (expecting Jeanty to go 1.01 of course). Big believer in both guys, leaning Hunter because stud WRs are near impossible to trade for in my league, have to draft them, I’ve had better luck finding RBs on waivers than WRs, and I’m not feeling great about next year’s draft class in general. Hard to shake this feeling that I’m going to make the wrong pick either way, lol

If you’re non-PPR then it’s just different. In fact, minimizing risk might be going with the assuredly offensive Henderson.
