**TNF on Prime Video - Steelers at Browns** (+3,5, 37) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

If it’s a Hail Mary they have to put in Fields.

Many are still underestimating a very sound Steelers team. This isn’t going to be close. 27 - 9 Steelers.
To me this smells like a typical Steelers letdown game. Tonlin is 1-8 in his last 9 TNF road games., division game, not sure the Browns win but the gut feeling the game is close and the Browns cover.
Should have followed my gut and bet Browns ML instead of a 4 leg parlay

Remember the throw to the end zone to Pickens and Wilson missed (or Pocken ran the wrong route). Either way they weren't on the same page. No biggie for the Steelers because Austin scored later on that drive. However, I had a 3 way prop parlay with Pickens; 5 catches, 60 yards, and a TD. That play would have won me the bet. Instead, I got nothing AND the Steelers lost. :pointtotheshirt:

Refs were letting DPI and OPI go all night for both sides, so nothing to complain about for either team.

Browns beat them, so they deserve full marks for it.

These stupid players thinking they're down without getting touched.
These stupid officials for never recognizing it.

Then the dummy doesn't pick up the ball after knocking it out of Jeudy's hand after that's the reason he did it in the first place.
It's long been established though that if player gets up from the ground acting like he's been tackled the play is dead...by definition has given himself up. So refs did the right thing moving along as if he was tackled. I don't think they actually blew the play dead

I wouldn't say it's long been established. Now if he had taken a couple of steps, realized it, and started running, they would have let it go and Michaels would be yelling "ohh he was never touched!"

The referees should swallow the whistle and let everything play out.

they did though. I never heard the whistle. How long do they wait....5 seconds? 10? forever? If the WR gets up and intentionally leaves the ball on the ground while joggin back to the huddle, do you call a fumble?
the right answer is to wait a few seconds to call it dead, but not long. And pretty sure that's what they did.
Of course, we never got a good replay of it, there's a chance he WAS touched on his way to the ground

Surprised they didn't call roughing. Russ got clocked.
pretty clean shot on replay though. would have been an awful call
have seen less called
seriously? he wasn't late, he wasn't high, he even pulled up a little...enough so that ONLY Wilson went to the ground. ONly a Pittsburgh fan could see that as remotely close to flag worthy, and even then you shouldn't when seeing the replay

Did I make a bad decision by not wanting to buy Warren for a 2nd rounder in dynasty?

I don’t think so. Depends how scarce RBs are in your league.
It's pretty bare. A smattering of backups and Zeke. I have...nothing. My #2 is Justice Hill. No one would trade me a rb for a 3rd round and I felt like that I was just mortgaging my future but now I'm just wondering if maybe I should have taken the plunge and bought Warren for a 2nd. Anyways thanks for being the only one to reply.

No sweat. I do think that paying that might mortgage your future a bit. It depends whether you’re contending this year or whether next year is your year because the running backs are supposedly pretty deep this year. I don’t know if they’ll last until your league’s second round, but you can unearth diamonds late. Warren is in a split backfield no matter what. I mean, how often do you just gotta have ten points max out of your RB2? He had a great night tonight with a touchdown, and he scored 15.50.

But to wit, I just overpaid for Tyrone Tracy by a second, so that isn’t following my own guidelines. I gave a one and two for him. I’m hoping that works out. And KeepTradeCut has Warren as an early third, which means he’s really a late second at most. But no, you didn’t do anything egregious by passing up that offer. And you probably still have time to make a deal for him if it is a dynasty league (trade deadlines are generally later than the one we just had for redraft on Yahoo!).

can't do that, encourages all kinds of other bad things like late/dirty hits. If the offensive player believes he's down and isn't trying to advance, it's the SAME THING as giving oneself up, the same thing as a QB kneeling. It's a dead ball and it needs to be a dead ball. STRONGLY disagree with you. And it seems the NFL does too, because they call that consistently

I think the officials miss it. At best it's more wussification of the game. Not sure how the player gets to decide/think that he's down.

But I will agree to disagree with you.

Late to the thread. Great game and Al Michaels is still a great announcer at age 80, even with a few mistakes:
  • Everything but the Zamboni out here.”
  • “Welcome to the Winter Olympics.”
  • “Boswell’s kick, if you can find it, is good.”

LOL, it's been this way since...well since I can remember understanding football at all, 40 years or so. Otherwise a QB kneeling isn't down either. And so much for a QB sliding, he isn't down either. It HAS TO BE THAT WAY

Just keep handing it to Harris!!!
I am sure you know this…..and I understand you own Najee….but he stinks and Warren is much better.

I don’t see many teams lining up to sign Najee next off season.

He has way too much running in place. Lots of juking and jiving and no vision or hole hitting.

He is just not that good.
There's a dummy in Dallas who signed Zeke. ;)
😂😂😂
I have Warren in 2 dynasty leagues. I have Harris in none.

I’m very familiar with the situation. I just had a bad BYE week and needed to start one. I figured the weather favored a Harris game. I figured wrong.

No way, it's definitely something way more recent. See the videos I posted.

I don't know how there wasn't a mutiny in that locker room with dead arm Watson starting over Winston.

Maybe not a long term franchise starter at this point but he should most definitely be a starting QB in the league right now w/o needing an injury in front of him.

The player is technically considered to have given himself up. I don’t know what Jeudy or the Steelers were thinking. He could have walked into the end zone. I’m glad he didn’t because I’m playing against him, but that’s what happened. He technically gave himself up after he kept just walking around and walking parallel and backwards to where he was supposedly (he wasn’t) touched down.
