2018 Song Draft - Post Round 19/20 Picks any time today. (1 Viewer)

New Birth in New England by Phosphorescent: I love his music and this song is no exception, I am also thinking of another beer

Loading Zones by Kurt Vile: Another very familiar artist and I song I find immediately awesome

Lake Erie by Wild Pink: I must be on a good roll or this weed really is that good because this is another slam dunk. Love it.

Cheating Life, Living Death by T. Hardy Morris is sad but nice

Pristine by Snail Mail: this was a song that immediately came to mind when I was thinking about my picks, love it. Women have owned rock the last few years.

Desperate Man by Eric Church: It is fun and catchy- a little too slick for me tho

Nothing Breaks Like a Heart by Mark Ronson: I like the style here,  has sauce

Last of My Kind (Live) by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: Nice, I saw  them play this as the headliner at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival this summer. It was wonderful and sounded just like his.

Been listening to our draft since we started and these are my favorite songs that I had no idea ever existed before you posted them.  I'd like to thank each and every one of you for introducing them into my life.  I am better for it.

Until tomorrow!

Still working on trying to get this nested quote function to work properly.

I wanted to draft at least one song off this album because I've enjoyed it very much, but it's hard to pick just one that stands out above the others.  At first I decided to choose this one because I liked the symmetry of selecting a song about a Saturday on a Saturday.  Then I actually looked up the Youtube video for this song and it sealed the deal for me.  I'm a HUGE fan of action/martial arts movies.  The more violent and visceral the better.  This video is right in my wheelhouse.  Pick locked in.  I don't care if it's been overplayed/hyped, I still consider it one of my favorites of the year.

Rd Nine - Panic! At The Disco - Say Amen (Saturday Night)

This one is Mrs. Eephus' pick.  If Spotify Wrapped included tracks played on the separate family account we use for our Echo, Johnny would have probably gotten into my top five.  I find Alexa very frustrating when trying to play a specific song or album so I mostly use it to listen to radio stations.

round 7:  Johnny Marr - Hi Hello

She chose this song (Mrs. Eephus, not Alexa who never picks the right one).  it's the most overtly Smithy song on Marr's Call the Comet album.  I don't think it's really representative of a fine and varied record that will probably make my year end list.  But Johnny's her guy and I'll defer to her.

Rd 9 - Anderson .paak - Bubblin

So I picked his first single of the year as my first round pick and was debating between this and a few cuts off Oxnard for this draft. But in the end this track has had staying power with me and there’s a cool vid....

This is the dumbest song of the year  . Not Aussie Aussie aussie... Swedie swedie swedieland. In the fine tradition of the leather nun... A punk band that blends things

Got some catching up.

I listened to the mix while walking the dog today.  I admit I was drifting off a bit but then came that I Woke Up in Fd Up America song.  That got my attention and is going to be my new karaoke jam.

So i think I’ve finally come around on IDLES. Abrasive but tuneful. Good workout music.

Also that Nathaniel Rateliff song ‘You Worry Me’ is killer and I liked the song drafted in the midyear draft as well so going to check out the album.
