2020 Music Thread. 9/11 - Flaming Lips, Everything Everything (1 Viewer)

It's not new, and you guys were probably all over them already, but Sunflower Bean's ep from last year is all kinds of White Reaper power pop goodness.

OMG OMG OMG!  It's new PEARS day!

#AllCapsLife
OMG part duh..

iDLES have a single with Anna Calvi!... Not an immediate grabber, but don't care.

ETA...appears Anna Calvi has a "versions" album out with guest artists, including IDLES and Courtney Barnett. ...so it's not an IDLES tune.

Numbers on a screen mean nothin' to me
We're on the same boat but different seats
And how could you ever believe
It's not personal it's business

Recent, or suburbs/neon fire AF?

I've heard some songs in the background and liked, but not grabbed. Will have to listen more.
Neon Bible maybe? Not sure why I’m getting AF vibes, just am. Maybe more in theme and  cohesive messaging.

3 all caps bands this week: I love PEARS,  the ROOKIE cover art looks promising, and I like THICK (but am not really feeling the song on my RR this week).

P.S. The Districts were the 1st song on my RR - they had my #4 album of 2017 ;)

was the districts tune "side car"... oh- looks like they have a full album out?

I'm disappointed in the dearth of all-caps bands on my RR this week. :kicksrock:

With festivals and tours being canceled as well as large social events being frowned upon, let’s hope there are artists using the time wisely by writing great music right now.

we just went with a new antivirus solution on our work servers and I have to do some manual cleanup on files that it couldn't delete.  led me to this one guys download folder where he had mbv, national, foxygen, qotsa, pearl jam bootlegs, etc.  guys got good taste but dont torrent on network shares.

Fry that turkey

Ultraista is a side-project of Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck's drummer Joey Waronker and English singer Laura Bettinson.  Their new album is a pretty good listen with lots of interesting rhythms, bits and bobs of mid-period Radiohead and an Everything But the Girl vibe.  It's excellent background listening but comes up a little short when it comes to memorable songs.

No idea if this has been covered but...

White Reaper’s latest album is probably the best thing release over the 2019-2020 season.

I will fight you.  My hands are rated E for Everyone.
