I am one of 15 teams with Nacua, T. Dell and Bourne. roster of 26.

Unfortunately, I didn't roster Nacua....

but I gotta thank "Tank". :-)

I think my worst 2 "misses" were Van Jefferson and Joshua Palmer. Nothing but wasted money so far...

Wow I'll be out after two weeks this year, currently 0.1 above cut with only Njoku -5 to play.

Worst year I've ever had for hitting on the lower cost RBs and WRs, and my higher cost RBs and WRs also mostly missed (Pierce, CWatson, Brandin Cooks, and more). Just swapping Van Jefferson for Puka man damn.

Still a punchers chance for you :boxing:

A modest stat line like 4/44/1 or 6/66/0 may be enough.

The cut line surely will change, but judging by how boring the Caroina / New Orleans game is, and how few points have been scored, perhaps the cut line won't move by a drastic amount. It might be different story in the 2nd game...

11-17 I'd guess.

Ooof, I'm lucky I'm already safe this week. With Chubb out, it will be a miracle if I make it through week 3 with this group :(

RB Nick Chubb - $300.00
RB Dameon Pierce - $214.50
RB Alvin Kamara - $150.00
RB Khalil Herbert - $136.30
RB Tank Bigsby - $90.00
RB Chris Evans - $30.00

Ended up with 168.10
Kinda remarkable that 18 of the 25 members of my rooster have already appeared (only McCaffrey and Nacua have been used twice).
3 RBs (Herbert, Bigsby, and Evans), 2 WRs (Pierce and Michael Wilson), 1 PK (Santos), and 1 DEF (Rams) wait for their turn.

Good luck to those sweating The Turk!

Wow! 26 points by the Steelers defense tonight.

I’m dreaming and wishing I had rostered them, rather than Josh Palmer with that last $6.

And man, I hate what happened to Nick Chubb :frown:

With Chubb down, I'm a dead team walking. If I make it to next week, I'll get Kamara, but even then, I'll need Pierce or Herbert to suddenly become a star and for Kyren to keep doing what he's been doing. Ungood.

Through 2 weeks, the roster size with the highest survival rate is 29 with a survival rate of 92.54%
The roster size with the lowest survival rate through 2 weeks is 18, with a survival rate of 78.52%

The overall survival rate for all teams is 81.02%

I'm in almost the exact same situation... except I've got Bigsby and Chris Evans instead of Kyren, so I'm in even worse shape, lol.

Wouldn’t have mattered as a Chubb owner. First year I tried small rooster. Thank goodness my elite hof subscription status gets me a second buy in

Why did you get the elite HOF subscription? You still get the second buy-in with the standard HOF subscription.

How highly owned was Chubb? I feel like he was on so very many of the rosters that were posted (mine included).

Awards and notable teams of the week.

Strongest Living Team: Through week 2, only 12 teams are averaging at least 200 points per week. One of these is a staff team. Unsurprisingly, all these teams are still alive. Busterboys (#100086) leads the pack, averaging 223 points.

Icarus Award: Entry #103886 was flying high with the 7th-highest score in the contest in week 1, only to crash and burn in week 2, missing the cutoff by 3.20 points. Looking at the team, mediocrity rather than injury was the primary culprit: yes, the team had Aaron Rodgers but still got 20+ out of the QB position, along with double-digits from K and D. Just no great games and some poor ones.

Keep Your Day Job Award: Entry #102381 had the lowest score in week 1 and the lowest score in week 2. This team is averaging under 57 points and is one of five teams averaging under 100. It’s a gimmick team with 11 QBs and the minimum everywhere else, meaning they could never have a full complement of scoring players. The worst team that looks legitimate is Entry #104339, averaging 88.6 points per week.

Snakebit: There are 18 teams with Aaron Rodgers, J.K. Dobbins and Nick Chubb. Eight of them are already eliminated. I’m going to go out on a limb and say none of these teams will be fighting for the top spot.

Notable Teams:

QBs:
All the double-digit QB teams were eliminated in week 1. Of the six 9-QB teams, two are still alive, Entry #101486 and Entry #100640.

RBs: There are twelve 10-RB teams in the contest this year. They have all survived the first two weeks.

WRs: Entry #103897 rosters 17 WRs (nobody else has more than 14) and survived quite comfortably. There are 63 teams with 11 or more WR and only six have been eliminated.

TEs: Of the four 7-TE teams, three are still alive. Only Entry #108334 has been eliminated.

PKs: The 22-kicker team is dead. The 18-kicker team is dead. The 13-kicker team is dead. Of the four 9-kicker teams, one, Entry #104058, is still alive.

DEFs: The 9-defense team, Entry #100051, is still alive.

And me, you ask? I’m alive and cleared the bar comfortably both weeks.

More categories next week, and to come later...

And now the players:

The Biggest Mistake: The overall player survival rate is 81.0%. Four teams rostered Tristan Vizcaino. They’re all dead. Earliest I can remember a player being eliminated. But that’s only four teams. The worst survival rate of a player with over 100 owners is Jerry Jeudy, at 53.9%. Ja’Marr Chase has over 500 owners and an ugly 63.6% survival rate.

The Survivor: Every player appears on at least one eliminated team. But most Puka Nacua owners are happy, as he holds the top survival rate, at 98.1%. Must sting for his 17 eliminated owners.

The Bargain: Obviously Nacua, since he only cost you $3. Kyren Williams was only a dollar more and is sitting pretty with a 97.4% survival rate.

The Parasite: Taylor Heinicke is only on 16 teams, but 15 of them are still alive, despite Heinicke having yet to see the field..

The Martyr: There really aren’t any great contenders for this award, given to a highly productive player whose teams are still dying at a huge rate. Matt Stafford’s been okay, putting up 17.8 and 21.05 points and yet his teams have a 63.2% survival rate. But it’s true that plenty of QBs outscore that. In the non-QB category, Jaylen Waddle has hit double digits both weeks but his owners only have a 73.8% survival rate. He’s probably the winner here.

What would you think if I told you that I found a team that was an exact duplicate of mine if you switch out 1 WR and 1 defense....keeping in mind that I posted my roster about one day before the deadline?

What is the statistical probability of this happening (as independent events, of course)?

I have $14 Jahan Dotson...the team below has $13 Kadarius Toney. I have $3 Detroit Lions...the team below has $4 Colts. Otherwise our squads are identical.

He outscored me by 3 points in week 1. Should I ask for a cut if he finishes in the money? Lol.

Week 2

QB Aaron Rodgers - $140.00
QB Jared Goff - $1433.15
QB Kenny Pickett - $1015.50
RB Nick Chubb - $306.40
RB Jahmyr Gibbs - $259.10
RB Jaylen Warren - $1110.60
RB Raheem Mostert - $1025.20
RB Ezekiel Elliott - $71.30
WR Garrett Wilson - $2916.30
WR George Pickens - $1522.70
WR Kadarius Toney - $138.80
WR Gabe Davis - $1221.20
WR Kendrick Bourne - $46.90
WR Tank Dell - $320.20
TE Darren Waller - $1716.60
TE Sam LaPorta - $913.80
TE Tyler Conklin - $712.50
PK Jake Elliott - $513.10
PK Greg Zuerlein - $40.00
PK Dustin Hopkins - $39.80
TD Indianapolis Colts - $48.00
TD Seattle Seahawks - $414.00

Re: the "martyr"... It makes some sense that some highly productive players (like Waddle in your example) sometimes appear on rosters dying at at large rate (as is true in this case). Rosters with expensive players are generally smaller rosters because there's less money left to roster more players. And smaller roster teams have lower survival rates than larger roster teams. So that one is not a surprise to me.

An individual player’s survival rate is not an indication of his individual value. His survival rate is an indication of the value of the entire roster that he is a part of.

Contest aside, I really hope Chubb makes a successful recovery. He's been everything you could ask for an RB and more.
Exactly. I feel really bad for him, knowing what he will have to endure now, with surgery and then with a long recovery and physical therapy. It really sucks that this is his second major knee injury.

Glad to see the Akers trade. Maybe he won't be a total waste of cash. Hopefully he can get me that 1 point I so desperately need to get me over the cut line at some point during the season.

I did about 30 iterations. Probably 2/3rds of them had Kyren Williams My final submission did not. So sad.

I saw today that the rams are shopping Akers AGAIN. It's comical how much McVay hates that guy!

I told a friend on Sunday "find someone that loves you as much as McVay hates Akers" :lmao:

-QG
Apparently Akers had made some comments about his interest in McVay's wife.

I can't imagine why.
