Beasley, Hardaway, and Schroder are all free agents, will be interesting to see how much the Pistons (over)pay them to keep this core around.

NBA is just stupid with screens. Schroder walked up to Anunoby and hugs him while Pistons are on offense. Knicks challenged the foul for Anunoby discarding him and somehow on review they call that a legal screen.

You don't pay for any of them unless you get a big discount, right? The team's core is Cade, Duren, Ausar, and maybe Ivey? Everyone else is expendable.
Yeah I dunno, I for sure agree in theory, but all three of them seemed pretty vital in the Pistons success. Cade finally got some shooting around him and blossomed into the player I always thought he could be, would be tough see that taken away from him.

It would be best for both sides if Cade requested a trade. Pistons aren't doing anything with this roster. Get Cade a chance at a title and get a pick and young player for the Pistons.

Beasley should be back, at the trade deadline he asked not to be traded and said he wanted to be a Piston long term. Hopefully a reasonable deal is reached.

The other two can go. They played decent this year, but they aren't getting better. Their minutes should go to Ivey, Thompson, and Holland and hopefully a free agent that they bring in. If they do bring them back hopefully it is around the MLE or lower and for 2 years or less.

Duren really impressed me this series. He's been a steady presence in the middle all season but great seeing him step up in the playoffs

I don’t think they can both re-sign Beasley and use cap space for a free agent, right? It’s one or the other?

I am not sure. I haven't looked too far into what Bird rights they have and who is coming off the books.

it is time of the swc all laroosh team starting at point guard is chris hold me back bro paul who is a shameless laroosh who pushes people and then runs and hides and is also washed up and still acts like a star total laroosh behavior and he is your staring laroosh point guard take that to the bank brohans

next up at shooting guard we have james poopbeard harden he once complained that he should have won the mvp instead of giannis he travels all the time and still shoots like he is the best players on his team when he is not and he complains all the time and is a flopmaster general so there you have it your starting laroosh shooting guard is ole poopy take that to the bank brohans

at weak forward we have dillon im a laroosh brooks yep he fights with everyone even though he isnt really a tough guy and would get totally rung out if a real right broke out he takes pride in getting under peoples skin and frankly he isnt that good so boom your weak forward is old dill dong take that to the bank brochachos

and finally starting at center is russell im not a center but im a giant laroosh westbrook he acts like he is still one of the best in the league but was he ever no he was not he just played on a bad team and ran up stats in games that didnt matter total laroosh behavior he always is flopping and complaining and that makes him your starting laroosh center take that to the bank brohans

I watched this Bobby Marks video this morning so they were fresh in my mind. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T63mVMVCsLQ

I would 100% pay for Beasley if I were them. He is one of the most prolific shooters in the NBA on a team that desperately needs the shooting. Something on the range of 3 years and $50-55m seems like it would be a decent contract for both sides. He's still only 28 so he shouldn't see any fall in production in that time.

Hardaway they should let walk no matter the contract unless it's a 1 year minimum.

Schroder is much more contract and contract length dependent. A two year deal at the mid-level, I think it's a go. One year at more like $18m, I would do that. Anything of more years or more money, I think they should pass.

Pop’s done coaching. He’ll stay to be team president.
Becky Hammon to make history?

Illustrious Mitch Johnson to take the helm.
I'm not smart enough to critique Mitch Johnson the basketball coach, but I hope what shows up on the court in week 1 is approximatey 100% better that what we were seeing in the dog days of this past winter. It never felt like there was any semblance of a plan or even an identity for this team, but in hindsight there were a lot of obstacles thrown his way (Pop's stroke being a huge one; roster flaws another).

Really wanted coach Becky though. :kicksrock:

Longest tenured coaches:

1. Erik Spoelstra, April 2008
2. Steve Kerr, May 2014
3. Tom Thibodeau, July 2020
4. Billy Donovan, September 2020

Mad Max and Reggie on Drazen Petrovic. Loved watching him with NJ and was my guy on NBA Jam. Would have been one of the greats if not for that tragic accident. :lmao: about his odor tho. RIP

None, he was on a one year deal

Assuming they dont collapse here in garbage time—nice win for the Rockets. They played with more energy and tenacity than a Golden State team that looked very flat tonight. I would have expected a better effort from the Warriors in an elimination game at home.

Van Vleet played a near flawless game.

He only used 19 possessions to score 29 points and had 8 rebs & 8 assts with only 2 TOs.

Curry, meanwhile, used 31 possessions to get his 29 points and had 7rbs, 2 assts at 5 TOs. Their gameplan on Curry was effective.

From a Houston perspective, that 4th Quarter was a thing of beauty on the defensive side. I think GS had like 3 points for the first 9 or 10 minutes. Unfathomable to hold Curry and Jimmy let alone the whole team to that.

Fred Van Brunson has been on a tear the past 3 games. This really came out of nowhere as he hasn't played well this season. He does have a knack for hitting clutch shots and producing when we need him most so I shouldn't be surprised.

Jalen who? He's probably busy shooting another Wingstop commercial so I'm not holding him just don't let the door hit you this off season ✌️

Green? He’s at least still giving effort and putting up some resistance on the defensive end.
