2024 FBG Subscriber Contest (2 Viewers)

20.5 pts clear of the current cut line heading into MNF, with Tracy and Nabers yet to go (-9.2).

I probably should feel more confident than I do. This contest breaks hearts.

I’m very likely out. Down 10 and only have Eric Gray and Theo Johnson left with -4 and -6.7. What ya think 2% chance
😐

Samuel instead of Shakir has been a big regret. I think they were similar prices.
Really good picks have been Brian Thomas and Kittle.
Was hoping to make it late into season when Pachecho gets back.

No sweating the cut line this week. Done at 130 and out.

Had some good scores this week from TE in particular but the death knell was losing Nico, Rice and Jamo. Sad to go cuz the team has been strong. Hoped to make the finals.

Still rooting for you my message bored mates! Good luck!!!

Funny how this contest works. If I'd taken Samual instead of Shakir I'm still alive and sitting at 164 + Nabers for this week.

I am not a big poster here and this thread is the same BUT reading some of the takes and work some of you guys put into it is a big part of why I love this competition. Ive never gone far in this competition and am off to week 9 this year for the first time ever. Im sorry to my fellow FBG brethren in this thread who have or will meet the turk face to face this week. Good luck to those of you who have a chance to win this.

I'm through to week 9! Sitting at 171.95 with Nabers (-8.4).

My Goff/Stafford duo is finally performing the way I thought they would. Stafford getting Puka and Kupp back looks like its going to make a huge difference (surprise surprise). Both had early byes, so barring injury, I'll have two scores at the position down the stretch.

At RB, Bijan is the only player other than Kittle that I've used 7 times, so I'm happy to see him be productive. I'll need more from KW3 and Javonte next week though. Gus Edwards and Trey Sermon have been used one time each, and Blake Corum remains my only unused player.

I'm a Rice survivor, with Nabers, Sutton, Odunze, and Shakir carrying the load. So far, I've been able to have 2 WR scores each week despite the injuries. There have been times when I wished I had picked Jamo instead of Shakir, but I've used Shakir 6 times, and now with the Jamo suspension I'm feeling better about my choice.

Kittle has been HUGE for me, I'm so glad I went with the 4 TE lineup. He's my only player on bye next week, so I need Evan Engram to show up big to keep me in the game. Anything from Taysom Hill or Colby Parkinson would be greatly appreciated too.

No complaints with Reichard and Bates at K, and both have their byes behind them.

ATL and LAC have been mostly lackluster, only two scores of 10 or higher thus far. Really whiffed by taking ATL over GB. Got a little too excited with their offseason trades and signings. What can I say, I'm a homer!!!

Line sits at 145.1 with the following left to play:

998 - WR Malik Nabers
491 - TE Pat Freiermuth
273 - WR George Pickens
253 - RB Najee Harris
230 - TD Pittsburgh Steelers
224 - RB Tyrone Tracy
192 - RB Devin Singletary
188 - QB Justin Fields
186 - PK Chris Boswell
95 - TE Theo Johnson
87 - TD New York Giants
73 - WR Van Jefferson
54 - QB Daniel Jones
50 - RB Eric Gray
44 - WR Wan'Dale Robinson
42 - QB Russell Wilson
30 - WR Darius Slayton
29 - RB Jaylen Warren
24 - WR Jalin Hyatt
16 - WR Calvin Austin
12 - PK Greg Joseph
8 - TE Daniel Bellinger
5 - QB Drew Lock

Nabers is on 28.5% of remaining teams, while Freiermuth sits at 14.0%. Everyone else is below 8%.

Closest week so far for my team. I'm at 148 with:

Najee -1.8
Pickens -12.7
Theo -13.3
Boswell -8.2

One good run from Najee and I move on :shades:

I'm probably out, unless I get a really big night from Nabers, and supporting numbers from Tracy (not counting on Theo, but he only needs to do better than Likely to count.) Go Giants!

Sitting at 153.5 with no players left. My best year ever was week 11, but even if I make it this week, I don’t think I will survive week 9 and will have 0 QB in week 10 unless Will Levi’s plays. Forgot that Jordan Love strained his groin so don’t think he plays in week 9.

Needed help this week with DK out, Jameson out and Rasheed out for the year, and Curtis Samuel a bust. I got that help though, should be good to go with 172.9 and Tracy still active (-10.2)

Otton 33.6
Tillman 28.9

Will continue to need those two to ball out

I'm up 23 points with Pat Freiermuth needing better than 11 to count for me. I don't think I'll need him, and I'm feeling pretty good. Certainly not sweating The Turk because I've been playing with house money since Pacheco went out. And now Jerome Ford is my second of four running backs so I'm living on borrowed time anyway. Oh, and let us not forget Sam Howell is one of my three quarterbacks.

I'm just enjoying the ride for as long as it lasts.

Everyone knows. Based on the ownership percentages it would be impossible for you not to advance.
Sweating really hard this week. I'm only above the line by 37 points, and I have no players left. Hope it's a low scoring game. 🤞
Does anyone know the most the line has ever moved from one MNF game?
I moved like 45 when the Cheifs/Rams posted around 100 pts between them and everyone had a multiple pieces of those teams and we were in the step cut phase. When it's Daniel Jones and Russ Wilson the lines just idles.

oof, this cut line was just brutal. Especially when there is a minefield of injuries to navigate.

Next week is gonna be rough when accounting for both byes and injuries.

UNOFFICIAL future Cut lines (a few ties pushed the number higher remaining this week, and affected future weeks):

Notes From Contest Rules:
- In weeks 1--14, the cut is based on scores from the current week only. Scores reset each week.

- Specifically, the cut will be determined as in the following example. Suppose it is week 7 and there are 2,394 entries at the beginning of the week. Because the cut percentage is 20% for that week, 2394 will be multiplied by 0.80 and the resulting number, if not an integer, will be rounded UP to the next greatest integer. In this case, 2394 * 0.8 = 1915.2. We round up to 1916. The entry with the 1916th-highest score, and all entries with an equal or greater score, will move to the next round.

- if fewer than 225 participants remain after week 14, then prizes will be awarded to eliminated participants according to highest score in week 14. If prizes are still unawarded after that, then highest score in week 13, and so on.

Week 8 Results:

10 QB Geno Smith - $12 - 11.2
12 QB Derek Carr - $11 - OUT

5 RB David Montgomery - $19 - 16.45
6 RB Raheem Mostert - $16 - 15.5
12 RB Chase Brown - $13 - 10.4
14 RB Brian Robinson Jr. - $13 - 8.1
10 RB Jerome Ford - $11 - OUT
6 RB Samaje Perine - $5 - 4.0

11 WR DJ Moore - $22 - 5.4
14 WR Courtland Sutton - $13 - 19.4
6 WR Xavier Worthy - $13 - 13.7
5 WR Jameson Williams - $10 - OUT (S)
14 WR Keon Coleman - $10 - 18.0
10 WR Romeo Doubs - $10 - 10.2
10 WR Dontayvion Wicks - $8 - 3.1

9 TE George Kittle - $15 - 27.8
10 TE David Njoku - $14 - 19.6
12 TE Tyler Conklin - $10 - 14.7
6 TE Colby Parkinson - $3 - 4.7

5 PK Cameron Dicker - $4 - 9.6
6 PK Will Reichard - $3 - 8.5

12 TD Atlanta Falcons - $3 - 6.0
10 TD Green Bay Packers - $3 - 5.0

TOTAL: 171.65 (Cut 149.80)

Got to use Mostert's score this week, which leaves Perine as the only player who hasn't "counted." Feel good about the fact that I had three "bench" players in double figures (plus Robinson at 8.1 and Reichard at 8.5), so I'm more than just a player or two away from elimination (so far). That said, like I mentioned before, still not terribly confident in this group given the lack of true studs/stars. I'll need guys like DJ Moore to pick it up if I'm going to advance much further. Hoping Worthy and Coleman continue to trend in a positive direction, as well as Chase Brown. And, with Geno's bye coming up, Carr still being out concerns me. Last week, with just two QB's, there was a pretty big dropoff between Darnold and Geno.

TE's really carried me again last week. I'll miss Kittle this week (although fortunately he is my only BYE this week). Hopefully Njoku and Conklin continue to step up.

Made it through by just under 10 points. Getting 12.3 from the QB position isn't ideal but getting 63.0 from the TEs is.

Every player on my roster has now counted for me at least twice. I don't think I've ever had that before, but I've also never run with such a small team (20) before.

This was the second week this season where I had a single-point-of-failure player.
Back in week 3, Rashee Rice and his 29.1 saved me. Without him, I would have used Allgeier's 3.2 and been eliminated.
This week, if either Kittle (27.8) or Ridley (24.6) had been out, I would have used Diggs and his 12.7 and come up short.
Yes, thank God I have Rashee Rice and Calvin Ridley on my roster: I must be some kind of genius or something.

NICE!! That may be the least injured team left in the contest starting next week.

18-20 player groupthink team still alive. Week 9 options:

QB
Patrick Mahomes, Caleb Williams
Overall a horrible duo for $43, averaging a paltry 25 PPG, but they are both past their byes

RB
Josh Jacobs, James Conner, Javonte Williams, JK Dobbins, Justice Hill
A steady healthy group thus far. Have used as flex only 4 out of 16 times, but this group has to step up.

WR
CeeDee Lamb, Malik Nabers, Keon Coleman
Only rostered 5. Rice gone, and Jameson to sit once more. Hoping for a repeat of week 8 with this trio.

TE
Brock Bowers, Taysom Hill
Kittle is the only bye for this squad. Have flexed at TE 5 times, but just hoping for 1 usable score this week.

PK
Cameron Dicker, Will Reichard, Cam Little
They've averaged 14.1, and in double digits every week.

TD
Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers
May as well have just went with GB only. Used LAC only week 1.

Moving on with 184.9. Kittle and Boswell on byes this week. Rice and Jamo out at WR. A little disappointed that Yoshi couldn't score even with Higgins out, but it's good to have Taysom back to help cover for Kittle, and maybe Singletary can show up if Tracy is out?

Thanks for that update. What’s the word on the other groupthink rosters?
I was part of the large groupthink roster team, so now that I’m out, I need to root for something ;)
