Safe. Moving on to my no QB week. Need Higgins to not be hurt next week. Luckily I was only dependent on 3 out of 5 of next week's bye players' scores.

193…think I am good. 😁

Next two weeks (week 10 & 11) are gonna be the tough weeks for me with 4 players off and a couple injured players.

Week 12 I have 4 players off but barring any significant injuries one is a defense and 1 a kicker so not to worried about those 2 players being off.

In the clubhouse with 159.7, on to week 10! I can't remember if I've always been eliminated in week 9 or 10, but if I survive next week that will definitely be the farthest I've gone in this contest!

Definitely feel lucky that my only season-long injury has been Rashee Rice. I've missed a couple games here and there from Nabers, Shakir, Evan Engram and Taysom Hill (and Gus Edwards, what a waste), but nothing major, and have always been able to field a full team.

I'll only be missing Kenneth Walker next week, so hopefully Javonte can keep producing alongside Bijan. Hopefully Kittle continues to tear it up even if McCaffrey comes back!

:oldunsure:
149.25 with the cut line 142.6.
Baker - Goff (13.05) and Irving - Kincaid (9.2). I’d think I’ll move up a few points, maybe 155? I hope that’s enough.

2454 still alive, but will be cutting 736 this week down to 1718. Here are tonight's ownership numbers (not listing anyone already ruled OUT):

459 - RB Bucky Irving
403 - WR Xavier Worthy
264 - RB Samaje Perine
163 - QB Baker Mayfield
162 - TE Cade Otton
145 - TD Kansas City Chiefs
137 - WR Jalen McMillan
115 - TD Tampa Bay Buccaneers
89 - PK Chase McLaughlin
82 - QB Patrick Mahomes
71 - PK Harrison Butker
19 - TE Noah Gray
19 - RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
16 - WR DeAndre Hopkins
14 - TE Travis Kelce
13 - Rachaad White
9 - WR Justin Watson
6 - WR Trey Palmer

I doubt the line will move all that much, but I am not a math scientist. My guess is that the line will move a little less than 5. It moved only 3.3 during last night's game, and Darnold was owned by 480 and scored 31.90 points, although there really weren't many other highly owned players.

ghost rooster at 158.25 + (Irving - 2.50) so it looks like I will be safe to lament fall short in only 1 week at least until next week. And this was the "big" bye when I put this together as it had CMC and Kittle out.

Good luck to the non-ghost roosters.

Side note - the ghost rooster would be sweating more if it had 2 defenses (Packers/Broncos) vs 3 (Packers/Broncos/Chargers) as having the Chargers made an 11 point difference.
Just a random thought.

Well the one thing I can assure is that Bengals won't be moving Higgins.
The hope on your end (and mine as a Bengals fan) was that they held him out of the Raiders game to make sure he would be there for Baltimore.
The hard part is that the Baltimore game is 3 days - and they might want that extra rest.

Good luck!

I chose only 2 kickers and 2 defenses this year, and here is what they've combined to get me each week:

Week 1 - 22.3
Week 2 - 14.8
Week 3 - 14.0
Week 4 - 33.5
Week 5 - 4.0
Week 6 - 18.9
Week 7 - 24.6
Week 8 - 15.6
Week 9 - 20.8

Guess which week I needed 7 points to advance?

Well, I'm hanging on by a thread. REALLY bad week for me to get only 3 pts each from my kickers and top defense. Lowest score by either of those positions all year. Kittle's bye obviously hurt, but Robinson's last-minute inactive was really the kicker. If not for Chase Brown and Sutton, I wouldn't even be close this week.

As it stands, if my math is close, I need 6.8 (Doubs - Lowest score counting currently) + 6.65 (shortage currently) + 6 or so that the cut might move tonight. I'm just going to call it an even 20 points that I need from either Worthy or Perine. Don't like my chances, but you never know.

10 QB Geno Smith - $12 - 34.75
12 QB Derek Carr - $11 - 17.8
6 QB Sam Darnold - $9 - 31.9

5 RB David Montgomery - $19 - 11.1
6 RB Raheem Mostert - $16 - 9.8
12 RB Chase Brown - $13 - 24.2
14 RB Brian Robinson Jr. - $13 - OUT
10 RB Jerome Ford - $11 - 1.2
6 RB Samaje Perine - $5 - MNF

11 WR DJ Moore - $22 - 7.3
14 WR Courtland Sutton - $13 - 25.3
6 WR Xavier Worthy - $13 - MNF
5 WR Jameson Williams - $10 - OUT
14 WR Keon Coleman - $10 - 3.1
10 WR Romeo Doubs - $10 - 6.8
10 WR Dontayvion Wicks - $8 - 0.0

9 TE George Kittle - $15 - BYE
10 TE David Njoku - $14 - 10.4
12 TE Tyler Conklin - $10 - 1.2
6 TE Colby Parkinson - $3 - 0.0

5 PK Cameron Dicker - $4 - 3.0
6 PK Will Reichard - $3 - 3.0

12 TD Atlanta Falcons - $3 - 3.0
10 TD Green Bay Packers - $3 - 1.0

TOTAL: 135.65 (Cut 142.30)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Week 5. Yeah, I did the same (2 and 2), and in any other week, I could have survived the 3 pts from my defense and 3 pts from my kicker. This week, I have no room for error, and am currently on the outside looking in. Ugh.

Interesting, I did 2/2 too.
Low score 12.4 in week 6, Reichard’s bye week. High score 32 which was actually due to folk.
Folk/Reichard
Chargers / raiders. Raiders was a waste of $3 so far.

189.5 so far. Think I'll be seeing some of you in Week 10!

Is Joe's thing through Week 10?

Have Walker and Smith-Njigba on Bye next week. This doesnt worry me too much with the emergence of Chase Brown and also Monty on the bench.

More worried about SEA Defense's bye and relying on DET defense @ HOU.

20 from worthy is absolutely possible.
Certainly possible, but based on history through 8 weeks, I would say unlikely. He's hit that number once (Week 1). But, who knows... all it takes is one big play and a few more touches in PPR. If nothing else it will keep my attention. Hoping TB can keep it close/interesting.

My miracle team is sitting 9.4 above the line with the Bucs D (-7) the only entry tonight. Might happen, might not. I've been living on borrowed time ever since Pacheco went down though, so I'm just enjoying the ride.

I've been above the cut at least 18 every week... except 1
That made me curious, so I went and looked. I've been above the cut by at least 10 every week, but my lowest was 10.85 in Week 1! I would have thought I'd clear it by more with all the silly roosters still in the competition, so that was a bit scary, thought I was going to have a short season. Lowest since then was Week 5 at 12.75, which was when I only had one each of QB, K, and DEF.

I think Mahommes is about done with Worthy. They definitely tried to get him going, and he has been failing all over himself. I was hoping he would grow into a bigger role as the season went on, but I'm not seeing it anymore.

We lost another groupthink team. Our common roster, AKA No Bikini Required fell this week.

Still alive and moving on to week 10 are the smallest and biggest teams, AKA Forum Wars I: The Bantam Menace and The Bargain Bin.

We started this week with 19 folks eligible for @Joe Bryant extra $100 prize. Sadly, we have to say farewell to @Neal Cassady and @Saint

Moving on to week 10 are:
@lsutigers @bamabuddha @Puppies @BlackCrowes @-OZ- @HairySasquatch @scottybo @rzrback77 @themeanmachine @Scoresman @Forte Yard Dash @JaBoo @apalmer @da_budman @IHEARTFF @barackdhouse @a_troll00 :clap:

Of note
- HairySasquatch was this week's top dog with a score of 214.45 (19th overall)
- lsutigers was this week's lowest advancing team with 146.15 (1698th overall)

Good luck in week 10!

UNOFFICIAL future Cut lines (no ties pushed the number higher remaining this week so numbers remained steady):

Start 11695
10% Week 1 Cut to Number – 10528
10% Week 2 cut to Number – 9477
10% Week 3 cut to Number – 8533
20% Week 4 cut to Number – 6828
20% Week 5 cut to Number – 5467
20% Week 6 cut to Number – 4375
20% Week 7 cut to Number – 3502
30% Week 8 cut to Number – 2454
30% Week 9 cut to Number – 1718
30% Week 10 cut to Number – 1203
30% Week 11 cut to Number – 843
30% Week 12 cut to Number – 591
40% Week 13 cut to Number – 355
40% Week 14 cut to Number – 213 (means the top 12 non-playoff teams this week win a prize)

Notes From Contest Rules:
- In weeks 1--14, the cut is based on scores from the current week only. Scores reset each week.

- Specifically, the cut will be determined as in the following example. Suppose it is week 7 and there are 2,394 entries at the beginning of the week. Because the cut percentage is 20% for that week, 2394 will be multiplied by 0.80 and the resulting number, if not an integer, will be rounded UP to the next greatest integer. In this case, 2394 * 0.8 = 1915.2. We round up to 1916. The entry with the 1916th-highest score, and all entries with an equal or greater score, will move to the next round.

- if fewer than 225 participants remain after week 14, then prizes will be awarded to eliminated participants according to highest score in week 14. If prizes are still unawarded after that, then highest score in week 13, and so on.

Good luck to all the regulars in here who still are in with a shot!

Miracles happen. Thanks to a line that did not move much, I survived week 9. My next miracle is to get Will Levi's to start this week. If he doesn't play, I will not have a QB this week and will meet with the Turk.
