Still alive somehow. We'll I do know how Kittle . Without him would have been eliminated weeks 2,5,and 6 so pretty sure I'm going to be sucking air without him.

On the plus side, 32% of the remaining field has the same issue. 23% of the remaining teams have him and Hill.

Thanks for that update. What’s the word on the other groupthink rosters?
I was part of the large groupthink roster team, so now that I’m out, I need to root for something ;)
You were part of the 28-30 player team known as The Bargain Bin (team #111727), and your team is still alive! The other Shark Pool brainiacs in your think tank were @BobbyLayne @firstseason1988 @Gally @rzrback77 @Todem With special thanks to @Army Eye here is your team to follow...

Also alive are the 18-20 player team and the team whose goal was to create the most "common" team they could. Here are the links to those teams...

Sadly, we lost the 21-23 and 24-27 player teams this past week. Here they are...

I think my 175 was my high for the year. I really can't believe I am still alive with all.the injuries. I even had to use McMillan, the WR from Tampa this week. Good luck everyone. This will probably be it for me. 😀

All that time spent analyzing bye weeks and balancing them, only to lose in a week with no byes.

I thought I would provide some context around how much injuries and bye weeks will impact the field this week. In doing so, I delivered some bad news to myself. The chart below lays out how breaks down the live entries by how many players should be active this week. In this regard my team looks solid with 20 active players (1800 entries have less than that). However, when I look further I have Purdy ($18), Najee ($17) and JaMo($10) missing this week. So $35 of budget missing (Only 1050 entries missing more than that). Then if you look at how these players have performed for me Purdy counted in 5 weeks (141.75), Najee in 5 weeks (69.8) and JaMo in 4 weeks (72.5). My total scoring through the contest is 1255.5. So the players I'm missing accounted for 22.6% of my scoring for the season. There are only 383 entries missing a bigger % of their scoring than that. o_O

Before the week kicks off, I'm projected to miss the cutline by 5.5 points. So I'm hoping Darnold goes off on Carolina this week, or maybe Mahommes throws a pick 6 against Tampa this week. Bottom line I need some magic.

Same here. 171 and using Devin Singletary's 3pts as RB2. Each week seems shocking to advance so definitely can't continue to compete against 200 pt rosters.

QB's Murray and Goff have made a nice QBBC. 3 mid K's and 3 mid D's have been a good rotation. RB has been Pollard, WR's have been Mooney and Shakir and Otton killing it at TE. Almost every other +$10 player (Zamir White, Corum, Ford, Waddle, Rice, Doubs) has produced 0's most weeks.

I have said over and over that looking at $cap sitting on the bench in any given week (like most people do) doesn't really tell you anything. I always arrange my byes according to how many "projected points" are sitting on the bench, regardless of the cap dollars. You just illustrated why that is a more effective way to construct a roster.

I always compare my team's percentage of projected points that are inactive each week compared to the percentage of NFL teams on bye each week. This allows you to see where you can best afford to have players on bye. You never want a lot of projected points on bye in weeks where there are few NFL teams on bye. And as most people do, I always try to front load byes as much as I can in the early weeks when cut percentages are lowest.

You could probably expand this to looking at what specific teams are on bye any given week. If I’m looking at a week where NE CAR and TEN are on bye I might be more comfortable with a higher percentage on bench than if KC, BAL, and DET are on bye.

A quick snapshot of players in last night's game rostered on at least 100 active teams. On the whole, players outperformed their average. Using average points scored for players who have not played yet, each player's projected "starting status" is listed on the right side of the table. In the case of Tank Dell, we expect he will be used 133 times as a WR1, 82 times as the WR2, and 11 times as Flex1.

Overall, it looks like the game added about a point and a half to my projected cutline.

I don’t think I was lol because now I’m think the opposite is true. There probably is some benefit of predicating highly owned players and correlating to bye weeks and your own team.

I think you have that backwards. You can better afford to have players on bye when the best NFL teams are also on bye, because the odds are that the remaining teams will post lower fantasy numbers than if the best teams were on the field that week.

Does reverse jinxing work? If so then

There is no way my team makes it past this week. There is only 5 weeks to finals after this week. That would be the furthest I've made it in a loooong time. So absolutely no way I advance.

Taysom Hill TD!!! And on the week I've got Kittle on a bye!!!

Indeed, a great week for Taysom Hill to show up and put up a few points.
Looks like 3 of my 4 Tight Ends are likely to count again this week.

I'm only about 28 points north of the cut line (127.1) after the 1pm games and I don't have many players left. The cut line moved 44.4 points last week during the 4pm games. It it moves that much again, I will likely be in jeopardy. Only 1 of my remaining players (other than QB) is likely to raise my score, so I need a big game from either Stafford or Goff.

162.15 according to TensionMask. Only 24 above unofficial cut line. Feels safe.

Anything Perine scores above 9.4 adds to it. Not that it's happened anytime this season yet.

Sitting at 4 below the cut line and definitely needing some miracles… only have MIN defense (-1) and Worthy (-9.9)…. Think the fat lady may be singing…

Groupthink teams with cut line currently at 139.00

18-20 - 140.15, QB Mahomes will start counting at 11.40, and PK Reichard will start counting at 3.1 🙏

28-30 - 173.60, PK Reichard will start counting at 8.1

Common - 134.90, no players left

Safely moving on with the RB tandem of Dobbins and Dowdle. Going one QB and rostering Dowdle has kept me in it. Kind of worried about Lamb though as he looked like he broke something. On the positive note, I’m hoping McCaffrey comes back next week and sooner or later Goff will throw for some yards.
