Generally - shot on target goes to the shooter - even if deflected in.

Maybe the camera angle was off, and the shot was not originally going in - but it looked like it.

the definition of an own goal is a shot that was NOT going to go in. A shot on net, even if deflected should always go to the player.

sadly that is not how the sport works. A billion of these type games over the years between top teams have been very low scoring.
