I guess France's first goal in this tournament from open play wasn't enough.
Spain does it, it’s smart.16 year old even knows when to take a smart yellow.
Unless they play EspanaEngland are undefeated against "S-" teams this tournament.
Serbia: 1-0
Slovenia: 0-0
Slovakia: 2-1
Switzerland: 1-1 (p)
Just get past the Netherlands - and its coming home...

If we've learned anything this tourney, its that Conembol tricks make Concacaf tricks their b*&t^h.The goal will be clear, get to pk's using every Concacaf trick in the book.
The book of CONCACAF tricks would be a fun one. Hopefully it covers fan topics as well such as the proper way to tie a piss balloon. The biggest game in Canadian soccer history tonight.
This is the exact type of game where we say it is understandable when one team bunkers and hopes to counter against a significantly better team.
I am not even sure an early goal will change things. I don't expect Canada to come out of the shell unless they are down 2 (at least until the last 15 minutes of the game).

An unlikely early Canadian goal would be fascinating though...
I have to review some data but on the surface, I wonder if Yamal the best 16 year old in the history of the sport?

Last I looked with about 2 minutes remaining Spain had 400+ passes to France's 275ish.Spain killing this game off with possession against this French team is pure "chef's kiss"
Favourites for the next four major tournaments?I mean the future of this Spain team though.....this is missing two of the best young players in the world in Gavi and Pedri
Spain had a very poor (for Spain) World Cup in late 2022. They only won one game and went out in the round of 16.I fee llike Spain has been this good for a while. Why is it seemingly so shocking?
I'm no expert, but to me no other team is better to watch. The passing, the ball handling, just such a noticeable difference even from other elite teams.

When Man City get curb-stomped into League 2, I am guessing Pep volunteers his services for the Spanish team.Favourites for the next four major tournaments?I mean the future of this Spain team though.....this is missing two of the best young players in the world in Gavi and Pedri

Introducing 16 year old WAYNE ROONEYI have to review some data but on the surface, I wonder if Yamal the best 16 year old in the history of the sport?

Outside of injuries, they are going to be strong favorites for a long time.
Gavi, Pedri, Williams and Lamal give them a ridiculous core to build around.
I don't think Pele works. At 16 he had only 2 caps and very few pro games under his belt. He popped off the charts at 17.Introducing 16 year old WAYNE ROONEYI have to review some data but on the surface, I wonder if Yamal the best 16 year old in the history of the sport?
Or Pele, the GOAT

Surprised Yamal is still in. I figured Germany had some kind of child labor laws that would protect him.
I know nothing about this law but it would surprise me that only being on the field is considered working. I would have assume just dressing and sitting on the bench would be enough to consider them working.Surprised Yamal is still in. I figured Germany had some kind of child labor laws that would protect him.
I heard some discussion of this on a podcast last week. The German child labor law prohibits minors from working past 9:00 p.m. However, there is an exception for athletes that allows them to work until 11:00 p.m. Spain had a group stage game with a 9:00 p.m. kickoff and the speculation was that Yamal might be substituted before 11:00, meaning sometime very near full time. The kickoff today was also at 9:00 so maybe that's why they subbed him off late (unlikely). The funny thing they mentioned is that due to this law, he can't do any post-game media appearances and is reportedly prohibited from showering and changing in the team dressing room after 11. The speculation was that Yamal would have to be shuttled directly to his room from the game to shower and change in his room on his own. The fines are steep by normal standards - something like 30k Euros - but obviously not a concern for Spain in this context so I assume this is not on the team's radar at all. The Football Ramble pod guys made this sound much more funny than I'm able to pull off, but I believe it is a real thing.
For what its worth, he turns 17 on Saturday, one day before the final, but the German law applies to 17 year olds the same as 16s.
I'm torn....Messi is starting. Let's see Argentina wake up tonight to give us hope for a good final against Colombia on Sunday.
The real Ronaldo looks like he ate the pretenderWas away from the TV putting my meatballs in their sauce, did this **** announcer say the real Ronaldo?
