The way it’s going, next time could be tonight. Wife and I had early dinner/wine, etc. My bet is we watch a movie, drink some more wine, etc. and then she goes to sleep which means I’ll be back on here.I will be - next time///![]()
Now then - that sounds like fun...The way it’s going, next time could be tonight. Wife and I had early dinner/wine, etc. My bet is we watch a movie, drink some more wine, etc. and then she goes to sleep which means I’ll be back on here.

We can keep the draft going.We make round three picks Saturday, right? I'm willing to give it a few minutes and then select, or I can wait until Sat.
I miss The Purple One and his videos. No one ever did it better.AWWW YEAH. OLD FART TIME BABY.
Kicking it off with the only 21st-century release from The Purple One that could be mistaken for his ‘80s work:
Genre: Old Fart
3.01 - Prince - “Black Sweat” (2006)
Wow, this was actually on my shortlist this round alsoTrying to pick artists/songs that haven't been picked before.
Round 2
Blood In the Cut - K.Flay - Female 2016
@rockaction - otc
@Mr. Irrelevant on deck
Might I suggest?You can skip me for now. I'll chime in when I've winnowed the vast greatness in the punk/emo/screamo/etc. genre down. Watching the game. @sn0mm1s
Prince's late career has some gems/jams but U have 2 pick and chooseI miss The Purple One and his videos. No one ever did it better.
I turned on Giants v Pirates and this is happening a lot. So much I had to switch it. Ric Flair revival?Wooooooooo
Yeah. I drafted mainly the aughts and teens in that draft. It's very deep, actually.
Funny.. I heard this just the other day and said to the lady friend holy cow I didn't think these guys had any more good songs in themAbout time to get all devy draft / Vladito up in here!
Released just last week. I heard it for the first time on Tuesday and have queued it up about 40 times since. It’s infectious - harder and less shoegazy than their last two albums, but every bit as musically quirky. Get’cha some.
Genre: Dream Pop
2.16 - Silversun Pickups - It Doesn’t Matter Why (2019)
Sad Bum is the worst case scenario for the long term of the 2019 GiantsI turned on Giants v Pirates and this is happening a lot. So much I had to switch it. Ric Flair revival?
Stupid me. I thought you were talking about the Raptors earlierUhhhhhhhh holy #### 2-0 Toronto.
Boo. I don't know what goaltender interference is if it isn't that.Wow.
When they were big, I considered Wang Chung a joke band, a couple of chumps. But I was wrong. In retrospect, they were solid and sharp edged synthpopOld fart stuff.. Wang Chung from 1997.. this song crushes, not sure if I originally heard of it here or what
I hate to be that commissioner but we're drafting rock and old farts in round 3. Punk (and more old farts) is round 4 on Monday.3.xx
Genre - Punk
Song - Modern Kicks
Band - Exploding Hearts
Before a tragic van accident took three of the members' lives on their way back from a show, the Exploding Hearts were probably the band with the potential to be one of the biggest true pop-punk/glam/trash bands on the planet. With a knack for songwriting and hooks, along with a critical eye and ear way beyond their years, their brief time was marked by greatness like this. Glad to be leading off the punk element of the mix with them. They deserve it. R.I.P.
eta* Pitchfork commemorates the Hearts and reviews their two albums, Guitar Romantic and Shattered, here and here, respectively.
Oh wow. I missed that. Sorry. No, no need to switch back. That's fine. I'm fine with picking again, actually. Just skip me for a moment...I hate to be that commissioner but we're drafting rock and old farts in round 3. Punk (and more old farts) is round 4 on Monday.
You can always switch your home category back to punk![]()
pre-1985, so that narrows it a bit.Old farts is just a 21st century song from an artist more famous for their pre-2000s work?
I am scraping on the weed situation right now, it is a sad statePut it in your bong.
Thanks,I am looking at a group from the 60s so it is all good. I am excited about this old fart pick. It's a beautiful song and one of the band members passed recently.I'm wrong. It got changed to pre-1990.
They have a new album? WhoaAbout time to get all devy draft / Vladito up in here!
