Deranged Hermit hasn't been on since 2:30 pm today. I did PM him at 3:19 PM. So it has been a while now. I'm not in a big hurry though.

Fair enough. Gilbert is good but there's a reason he's projected to go in the back of the first round. I'd rather have multiple assets. The LB you speak of is another Barwin, ok vs run, ok vs pass but zero burst from the edge rushing the QB. For this team, I need pass rushers first and foremost so I'm not picking a Barwin clone in the first two rounds.Would much rather have Gilbert than Ford and cooks. Like the Reynolds pick though. Too many Wrs available and passing on the best shut down corner with size when it's a major need is a mistake IMO.I know what you are getting at but run blocking WR in the 2nd round of this draft? No thanks. I can find one later if necessary. I want my early draft picks to bring something special/elite to the table and I feel I did that with each selection. To the posters who questioned passing on Gilbert in the trade down, would you rather have a top CB in Gilbert or top edge pass rusher in Ford AND a 6'2" safety with range in Reynolds?Maclin and Cooper are both FAs, so I think taking a WR is a good idea. I don't think Cooks is a bad idea, but with so many prototypically sized WRs, I expect Kelly to go after one of them. It's not because I don't think Cooks will be good, but because I expect Kelly to appreciate a bigger and better run blocking WR like Bryant or Adams.2.56 Philadelphia Eagles select Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State
This pick and the offer from AD had me perplexed but adding an elite talent like Cooks was too much to resist. BPA drafting here. Cooks is not in the "big player" mold that Kelly has espoused but he is dynamic talent that will be added to the mix with Foles, McCoy, DJax, Ertz, Celek, et all. I envision Cooks making a big impact as a rookie, first on special teams and in select play packages then transitioning into a much bigger threat from the slot than Avant ever was. A more dynamic Randall Cobb.
1.30 Dee Ford, OLB2.54 Ed Reynolds, S2.56 Brandin Cooks, WR
There is a Lb that played with Reynolds that I really like and can play the run and pass better than Ford.
How about running back? Or wrI don't know who to pick for Indy.
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com listed the top three needs of all 32 teams.I don't know who to pick for Indy.
Travis Swanson. OG Cyril Richardson might be a good play for Indy here also if they're that desperate for OL help.Center from Arkansas. Name escapes me but he could play any interior line position.
I wouldn't draft him in the first two rounds either. I would take a barwin clone every draft though. If it wasn't for the Sr. Bowl I don't think you touch Ford. Gilbert is a day one starter for a secondary that scorched. Can't imagine passing on him.Fair enough. Gilbert is good but there's a reason he's projected to go in the back of the first round. Why not? They need one.take one of those olineman. lol at taking a rb for them.
not really. and if they use their 1st and 2nd picks on a rb, the gm should be insta-fired.Why not? They need one.take one of those olineman. lol at taking a rb for them.

I respect your viewpoint. A question about the deal I was proposed by AD...with what was on the board would you have taken the '15 #1 for the Cooks pick? I was really torn by that offer as you can tell with the trade down previously.Buddy Ball 2K3 said:I wouldn't draft him in the first two rounds either. I would take a barwin clone every draft though. I find it a little unlikely that it would go like this.Interesting that the fantasy oriented SP has allowed the RBs to appropriately slide. This class highlights the non prioritized position in the NFL now.
I don't. It's a non distinct RB class in a year with great depth at other positions. They will drop into the 3rd.I find it a little unlikely that it would go like this.Five were taken in the second round last year. Was that the first time since the merger without at least one first round RB?Interesting that the fantasy oriented SP has allowed the RBs to appropriately slide. This class highlights the non prioritized position in the NFL now.
Ifo went back to school for his senior year. The New Patriots select Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB , Oregon
I looked back through the picks and I am pretty sure he is available if not I will reselect. This fills a need for the Patriots with the odds stacked against them resigning Talib. I will admit the further we get in the draft the less I know about these players and I am drafting based more on need then BPA.
Belichick will find a way to use him anyhow.Ifo went back to school for his senior year. The New Patriots select Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB , Oregon

Would have been tough to trade completely out of this draft. Normally I would favor trading down and gathering picks in a deep draft like this. I just think the Eagles have such a need at CB that I couldnt pass on Gilbert. However if one of the top two CB's arent there I really hope they do trade out.I respect your viewpoint. If you're going to run 3 wide sets, you need more than 2 WRs on the roster. I doubt they'll re-sign Decker. Adams is a red zone terror and might even be an eventual upgrade to what Decker was. Will format in a minute...

If you want to stick with OL, maybe OG Dakota Dozier or C Weston Richburg? If you go the WR route I think Paul Richardson is BPA.Hey guys - Giants here - need to regroup as Hurst was my target.
