Is this bankroll all yours or are you getting sponsored by fanduel? I don't know about the rest of you, but when I'm playing on house money in the casino, I'm more willing to play bigger odds looking for the big payout. I'm a little more tight when it comes down to playing with my own money.Starting the Year with $50,000 in FanDuel and will be writing an e-book about the experience including weekly screenshots to the bankroll, etc
Each week I will recap the events and then also cover a major strategy. Most of the thoughts will make my daily column each week, but I will take all of those pieces and spiff up to assemble a book. I expect this to be part funny, sheer stupidity at times.
I might crash and burn and lose everything. I might win a ton of cash.
So...Raider,
Every week they lay out prices for all the players. You have a cap ($60K is normal) to choose 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, and 1 Def without spending more than the cap. You then enter this into tournaments, head to head to head, 3 man, 5 man, 20 person 50/50 where 1/2 cash etc. You can't see other's lineups until the 1st game starts and the whole roster is locked down.
They have Sunday only, ones that include the Thursday game, Sunday late games, varying cap limits, etc for diversity
I'm curious to know why this makes you want to play less...But seriously, this is the kind of thing that makes me want to play even less.

I am going to do it as a blog. Daily (or weekly for Football) takes place during the season so that's when it will happenWhere do we find these articles? I cannot find them.
Good Luck DD
Well, his win rate must have been higher than that last yr right?FanDuel charges a ten percent commission, which helps them give away so much money to new folks. Throw in a 52% marginal tax rate in California (as I understand it); by my math, this means if you have a 60% chance of winning each contest, and place $100K on the line, you should expect a return of $6,716. Change the number to 55%, and you've got a $2,234 return. Bump it up to 65%, and we're talking an $11,341 return.
That math sound right?
You are my hero.Keith Overton has convinced me that a good book needs a Great Ending. So in typical All-In Fashion, I plan on putting the entire bankroll in play in week 16 (my final week of this craziness). Giddy about the whole experience.
Doesn't really work that way....from what I remember...the big contests have a max entry number and most of the time they fill up well before kickoff. The smaller 50/50 contests don't run unless they are full.Wouldn't it make sense to join just before kickoff in leagues that aren't as full but have a guaranteed payout?
I still came in 4th in my 50/50, even with David Wilson scoring negative for me. I imagine the 50/50 format is pretty forgiving typically, although this was my first week playing so I'm just guessing. He has 15 weeks to make it up. It is frustrating how one or two bad calls can ruin your week with daily fantasy. Dez cost me a ton this week, but luckily I made it back and then some on the Monday/Thursday prime time games(running only one roster...eek). It is a grind.
