TE Mark Andrews, BAL (1 Viewer)

Another weird game. Baltimore has dominated Dallas on the ground. Bateman currently leads the team in targets and receptions. Jackson only has 13 targets. Surprised Baltimore has been able to run it this much given the O-line woes the 1st 2 games.

3 weeks is a trend.

Meanwhile I've had likely go off on the bench week 1 (and then subsequently trade away) and now Goedert go off on the bench this week. Probably putting Andrews on the pine until he gets right.

droppable in all formats, sell for anything you can get
Definitely not droppable. Sell maybe, but you aren't getting anything for him. He has 12 points through 3 games in PPR. Not good, obviously, but look at the other top drafted tight ends through 3 weeks. Sure a couple are doing well, but tight end is a disaster and I doubt anything on the wire is going to give you a better chance of 10+ points in a week than Andrews

Laporta 16
Kelce 9
McBride 31
Engram 1
Kittle 28
Pitts 22

better streaming options are available in most leagues, sell him if you can, drop & stream if you can't

I sold off last year's 1.02 in one league for him because I thought he was going to be a difference maker in my lineup as the last piece of the puzzle. I feel worse for him than I do for myself but I do feel pretty sorry for myself. Rest of the team is set up to dominate but it's not clear that any TE is yet this year. Guess it's time to go pony up for Tyler Conklin to help carry my team to the ship.

Could have been Gibbs but I don't know if I'd be feeling a whole lot better with JSN right now :ROFLMAO:

No there isn't. Unless you have a crystal ball and know what ****ty TE is gonna put up a random 10+ points in any given week

I'd rather go with Ertz right now who is only rostered in 29% of leagues. Conklin, Kmet, Friermuth, Gesicki, Strange (until Engram is back) are all looking like better options going forward too and available in most leagues. There are absolutely better streaming options from week to week. You don't need to find the random gem that goes off either, just getting something is better than nothing.

He has 8 targets in 3 games. As a Henry owner, I’m very happy. As a Henry and Andrews owner, not so much. This team has its identity and it goes through Lamar and Henry.

You almost think he must be limited by injuries because in previous seasons the Lamar-Andrews relationship has been automatic on the field like Mahomes-Kelce or McNair-Mason. He was the first, second, and third read. Weird to see him as an afterthought.

depends on the league obviously. Most of mine are deep roster dynasties where guys like Josh Oliver regularly see action. NONE of them are available

I think Conklin will be expensive! :D

I'll say it again, Andrews is coming off a significant injury last year and a car accident this pre-season. Maybe he is indeed washed but I believe he will just take time to get back up to speed. Now, I do believe he is diabetic so I have no idea how that changes his rehab and timelines if it does at all. Just tossing it out there if it is adding to his slow start as it takes him longer to get back up to speed.

I think BAL is still trying to figure things out on their end. Lots of videos of a very unhappy Lamar, even after this past win. Something has to give. If you own Andrews I can see how you are upset but I may look to trade for him in dynasty/keeper leagues. Maybe someone is willing to give him up for a decent price.

Side note - it isn't like LIkely did anything either. Charlier Kolar was also out there for 40% of the snaps as they ran the ball 40+ times (including Lamar). Tough day for the pass catchers when they only throw 15 times.

I actively targeted Andrews in drafts this fall - what an awful mistake. That said, we're in that grey zone where if you own Andrews he's still likely a better bet to emerge as a valuable piece than any of the TE20-TE30s that you can pick up on waivers. It's not as if there are some shiny, receiver first TEs out there about to blossom. They are bums, and mostly bums we all know.

I'll be sticking with Andrews and going down with the ship.

There are some breakout candidates among the youths that might challenge that assertion. There's some embers burning that might pick up steam

Give me the one that resembles McBride.

From what I'm getting, he's blocking on more downs as they go to a power running game with Henry than every before and when they do pass, its just to the WRs. His low numbers might be here to stay at least this year...

Benching him for Likely until something changes. Not that I've liked Likely's usage lately either.

At least Likely has 1 more blowup game than Andrews does.
So there's that

Completely droppable, let another owner waste a roster spot/FAAB on him.

We're a month into it man.

The Ravens lost their 1st 2 games, and he did nothing.
The Ravens dominated and won their last 2 games (Dallas made a late run, but that game was never really in question).

When they win, he does nothing because they run the ball a ton and he mostly blocks. There aren't enough pass attempts for him to see a lot of targets.
When they lose, he does nothing because he stays in to block a pass rush that knows they have to pass. Still doesn't see the targets.

We've seen both sides of the coin and he doesn't get the football.

I don't know how you can play him. But, I also don't know who you're going to get off Waivers that's anymore reliable.
