So SWRMRS and Fidlar covered People from The 1975 from last year?
Was that actually a 1975 original?

The 1975 are a cool band. I absolutely love 'You and Me Together Song'. Soundtrack to every late 90s/early 00s teen romcom. So SWRMRS and Fidlar covered People from The 1975 from last year?

It's good marketing move for SWMRS who are kicking off a UK/Europe tour on Sunday. A 75's cover will get them more airplay than if they released an original.yeah, i mean the cover is really good and honestly i would have believed that the original was a FIDLAR song in the first place if you played it for my blindly, which is why I was kind of confused.
The BAMBARA album is out now. It's post-punk with Spaghetti Western guitars and a deep-voiced singer from the Vanian/Lanegan/Iceage school.BAMBARA - Heat Lightning
The album is out in a couple of months but there's a three track advance single out now.
The video is just like the song: dark and driving.
ETA: here's a Talkhouse article that's a conversation between the band and Joe Talbot of IDLES
I ended up getting tickets to see him in a small venue in Asbury Park in May.
There are some decent songs on here (more guitar please!) but it’s all so samey to me.A few years ago I would have taken the day off on the day a new Tame Impala album came out. Now I’m not even sure I’ll give it more than one listen.
yeah, I think I am going to be pretty cool not listening to it.There are some decent songs on here (more guitar please!) but it’s all so samey to me.
I got 24 of these. It's awesome. I will send some. If anyone else wants some, I'll divide accordingly.I'm going to try to get 24 when they go on sale. If I do, I can send you a 6-pack.whoa, I love that already based on the art work and the yeast!
Serious question: can you get some for me?
I'm seeing them the day before they go on sale and leaving for Florida the day they go on sale, so hopefully I'm clear headed and organized enough to remember
They're in Buffalo tonight. Alex and I are going. Also, I saw PUP last night, watched first few songs from the back but 'Scorpion Hill' lured me to the pit and I stayed there the rest of the night. May have been the oldest one participating in that madness but I did not care.
Hot damn. Listening now.Call me immature, call me a poser but I really like the new Tame Impala record
Yeah it's really good. Don't get the hate at all.Call me immature, call me a poser but I really like the new Tame Impala record
i got lit in Ybor Cty several years ago and completely forgot about my TB Brewing Co souvenirs in a cigar bar.Northern Voice said:Not a concert but I did an Ybor City pub crawl last night. 'Killer Parties' was in my head the entire time.
I’m liking this too. Their new albums usually just drift by me but I’m liking this one. Really good guitar tone.Fiddles said:another week another new gbv album. sounds good on first listen
That's the one with Ty I think...yeah.Wasted Shirt is bonkers.
i'll take that listFor some reason, Spotify has decided I should/need to listen to Russian hip hop. Thanks for looking out Spotify, but Спасибо, не надо
Trust me on this on this one...you don't want it.i'll take that list
Feels like a lot of bands have gone this route or towards a more blues country roots rock style.Real Estate dabbling in soft yacht rock but they’ve always kinda been in the area. Interesting album. Needs more listens.

How about if I just call you a wise man and a friend?Call me immature, call me a poser but I really like the new Tame Impala record
Feels like it was straight from those first two albums...a good thing.Strokes song 'Bad Decisions' starts out like it's going to be a decent enough 3 minute strokes song that bites a bit too hard on 'Dancing With Myself' then keeps going and evolving and ends up being pretty great imo.
Digging itFeels like it was straight from those first two albums...a good thing.
Their first single this year was good too..just a totally different direction.
Goo.sonic youth live in moscow from 89... peak sonic youth years.
Love the freakout from about 4:15-4:25. Cool track.Strokes song 'Bad Decisions' starts out like it's going to be a decent enough 3 minute strokes song that bites a bit too hard on 'Dancing With Myself' then keeps going and evolving and ends up being pretty great imo.
I've heard a couple of tracks off of this. I was never about behind the beat rappers, but the production by Alchemist is outstanding and his flow is enough to sort of merge with the abstractions he's trying to paint. The track with Bennie the Butcher is sick.Boldy James - The Price of Tea In China is an incredible hip-hop album. I've also been listening to a lot of Sada Baby.
Dig Snail Mail.Beach Bunny is good. Riyl Charley Bliss, Swearin, Waxahatchee, Snail Mail and other female led indie bands
A week later, I love these two singles.RR of note:
no age
car seat headrest
Couldn't really get into it.Wasted Shirt is bonkers.
Didn’t love it either. One listen I kinda got the gist.Couldn't really get into it.
I really liked the new Lightning Bolt from last year though.. I was a little late to check it out but it's great
