Not a conspiracy guy but I think that pick was going to Dallas i.e. Vegas no matter what.

I kind of adopted the Knicks when I moved to NYC in 99 just because I enjoyed the games at MSG so much. That was a fun playoff run with Sprewell and Co. but always a Rockets fan first and foremost. When I moved back to Houston many years later stopped rooting for em.

I did not think they had a shot to win more than one game this series - but it's been fun to watch them battle and keep fighting. I know people in here seem to hate Jalen Brunson but love watching him play - love the whole Nova crew, despite attending a rival Big East school.

They would probably get a couple of functional pieces back in trades, but that lineup to me seems pretty thin. They would have a really small and suspect front court.
