Goff really should get a point for the reception.

On the ball that Goff caught for the touchdown, he is supposed to get 6 points for the TD and 0.7 points for the receiving yards, but no points for the actual reception, according to the rules. Army Eye's scoring grid did not give credit for the yards or the TD. We'll see how this shakes out in the morning, if I'm understanding the rules correctly.

Depending on how it is scored, I'll end up with either 203.80, or 197.10 for week 4.

But I'm in trouble next week as I'm likely missing 3 WRs due to injury, and I have 2 more WRs on BYE, plus a QB, TE and a DEF also on BYE.

Oh, OK, I think when I set this up, I read it as QBs not getting anything for receiving, but your interpretation is probably correct. I'll do a hotfix if the next FBG scoring update agrees with that.

$8 Taysom Hill is my only unused $$ so far. Players on bye week 5 bye are RB JK Dobbins, WR Jameson Williams, PK Cameron Dicker, and TD Chargers. Players that may not suit up are WR's Malik Nabers and Rashee Rice, and TE Taysom Hill. I may be rolling with only CeeDee Lamb and Khalil Shakir at WR.

Still got a lot of guys who haven't contributed yet...
QB - Caleb Williams has yet to outscore Joe Burrow
RB - McCaffrey and Vidal - for different reasons - haven't gotten on the field yet.
WR - Tee Higgins almost counted this week, but he tied for the 2nd flex spot in my lineup this week and I generally have the tie go to the guy I already used.
PK - Little has done little so far (it also doesn't help him that Karty has been lights out)
TD - The Broncos have been plenty respectable putting up at least 6 points every week but I've gotten lucky with the Packers and Chargers.

Let's see what do I have going this week out of my original group of 25...
QB (2) - Burrow and Williams
RB (4) - As far as I know J Williams, Ford, Dowdle and Irving are all set to play. Vidal gets to rest from all the non-playing and McCaffrey is still in ghost mode.
WR (4) - Higgins, Odunze, Dortch, and Tucker. All have hit the board for me at least once but my depth is really hurting now. Rice is donezo and I'm without Jameson and Ridley.
TE (3) - Kittle, Bowers, Parkinson. It's a good group. I'm going on the assumption that Taysom will miss a game - would love to be wrong.
PK (2) - Karty and Little are playing and Bates is out. With the other missing pieces having less diversity at kicker is a little scary.
TD (2) - Packers and Broncos. Chargers are out and the mini-gamble of going 1 shy at both kicker and defense in an early week now leaves me a bit nervous with the other holes.

So that totals up to only 17 players out of a 25-man rooster. Hopefully Hill can make it 18. Full health original plan was to have 20 players available. $171 of $250 is playing.

:scared:

So did a little dig in with the players who will be available based on the average score they have had so far this year.
Using two weeks for Tee's average and four weeks for all the others it comes out to 117.97.
I know we expect a lower cut than week 4 but :oldunsure:

Taking everyone's 2nd best scores bumps it up to 129.5

The bright side take is if everyone equals their best score of the year. If that happens life is good and I'll have 205.

UNOFFICIAL future Cut lines (a few ties pushed the number higher remaining this week and affected a few future weeks):

Start 11695
10% Week 1 Cut to Number – 10528
10% Week 2 cut to Number – 9477
10% Week 3 cut to Number – 8533
20% Week 4 cut to Number – 6827 now 6828
20% Week 5 cut to Number – 5460 now 5463
20% Week 6 cut to Number – 4368 now 4371
20% Week 7 cut to Number – 3495 now 3497
30% Week 8 cut to Number – 2447 now 2448
30% Week 9 cut to Number – 1713 now 1714
30% Week 10 cut to Number – 1200
30% Week 11 cut to Number – 840
30% Week 12 cut to Number – 588
40% Week 13 cut to Number – 353
40% Week 14 cut to Number – 212 (means the top 13 non-playoff teams this week win a prize)

Notes From Contest Rules:

- In weeks 1--14, the cut is based on scores from the current week only. Scores reset each week.

- Specifically, the cut will be determined as in the following example. Suppose it is week 7 and there are 2,394 entries at the beginning of the week. Because the cut percentage is 20% for that week, 2394 will be multiplied by 0.80 and the resulting number, if not an integer, will be rounded UP to the next greatest integer. In this case, 2394 * 0.8 = 1915.2. We round up to 1916. The entry with the 1916th-highest score, and all entries with an equal or greater score, will move to the next round.

- if fewer than 225 participants remain after week 14, then prizes will be awarded to eliminated participants according to highest score in week 14. If prizes are still unawarded after that, then highest score in week 13, and so on.

This week looks scary. My options are:

QB - Patrick Mahomes or Geno Smith
I'm fine with these. I've scored 22-28 each week, and that's fine by me.

RB - James Conner, Najee Harris, Brian Robinson, Jerome Ford, Justice Hill
With my WR's decimated, really need flex scores coming from this group. All seem healthy, and only JK Dobbins on bye.

WR - CeeDee Lamb, Malik Nabers, Khalil Shakir
Rashee Rice looks like dead meat, and Jameson Williams is on bye. Hoping either Nabers or Shakir at least suit up, or I take a goose egg at WR2.

TE - Jake Ferguson and George Kittle
With Taysom looking to miss some time, would be very happy if both Jake & George can repeat last week's performances.

PK - Joshua Karty
Only rostered 2, and Cameron Dicker is on bye. Is 10 points asking for too much?

TD - Atlanta Falcons
Only rostered 2, and the Chargers are on a bye. Am not expecting much of anything vs the Bucs.

My 2 QB's were hell-bent, bound and determined to advance my Rooster to Week 5.

Thank you, Geno/Goff for that fantastic duel.

Geno will be on his own for Week 5, as well as Moody (no Goff, no Sanders, and in my haste, I didn't go the 3PK route). At least Geno has a home game.

Please be "Full-go Joe" Mixon this week. It's you and Josh Jacobs FTW, because Jaleel McLaughlin, Jaylen Wright and Samaje Perine are, at best, uninspiring.

Wicks movin' on up at just the right time. Sans Waddle and DVSmith, I'll have to cobble 2 WR scores from him, Nabers and Brandin Cooks.

All 3 TE's scored for me this week. Need max effort from Kincaid/Ferguson if Taysom Hill can't go Monday night @ KC.

Buccaneers @ Falcons Thursday or Saints @ Chiefs MNF, with Eagles on bye.

Being pessimistic seems to be working so far. Prospects dim.

ETA: brain-farted - the Titans, not the Dolphins, are on bye this week, along with the Eagles, Lions and Chargers. Waddle and Sanders added back into the mix. Prognosis unchanged.

Pretty early exit for me. It happens.

Best of luck to the remaining teams!

Comfortably rolling into Week 5. Let's see who I'll be rolling with next week...

QB - Sam Darnold or Bo Nix (LOL). Fortunately, Darnold has been incredible so far this season bested only by Goff this week or he'd be 4-for-4 in my lineup. Hoping Darnold can withstand the force that is the Jets defense...

RB - Some combination of D'Andre Swift (thanks for showing up last week!), Chuba, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Rico. If I can get two double-digit scores from this group, I'll be happy!

WR - Similar to my RBs, my contributors will have to come from JJetts, Courtland Sutton, Odunze, and Iosivas. Fading Rashee was a HUGE gamble, but that might be my saving grace if we can survive this week.

TE - I'm hoping one or both FLEX scores will come from this grouping. Friermuth, Pitts (sigh..), and Jonnu. If Snoop stays at QB and Cousins continues to ignore Pitts, my time may be short-lived...

K - Karty will be my sole bullet this week, but I'm OK with that.

DEF - Let's go Pack! (Chargers BYE)

This is likely far and away going to be my sweatiest week with 7 on BYE, but many people are going to feel the pinch as well so I'm hoping I can squeak by one more week. After this week, I've only got one more week with more than 3 off, so let's hope for a meager cutline!

Good luck to those remaining!

I think we might both be sweating the turk in week 5. Unless Nablers plays and perhaps I get Nkoku back, I will be missing 8 players due to injuries and byes.

Losing Rashee hurts, but I guess I'm seeing the benefits of a 30-man roster. Maybe Noah Brown will score for me this week, he's the only WR who hasn't (out of 8). At TE still waiting for Taysom or Hayden Hurst to register a score that counts (and will be waiting longer for Taysom now). Gano the non-scorer at PK. All 3 Team Ds have registered, as has my 1 QB. 🤣

RB's where most of my non-counting players are... with Jaleel McLaughlin, Rico Dowdle, Samaje Perine, Kimani Vidal, Dylan Laube, and Isaac Guerendo all yet to register (6 of my 10).

I am nervous about week 5 with potentially nine of my players sitting out (Rashee + 7 byes + TBD Nabers), but given the roster pain others are posting about in this thread, I feel like maybe that will help keep the bar a bit lower to make the cut. We'll see.

How are the Group Entries holding up?
Plato’s Cave 26 player rooster is moving on. Like most of us, losing Rashee Rice hurts.

How are the Group Entries holding up?
All 5 are alive, and this week they scored 167.75, 180.70, 198.70, 199.50, and 205.40
All 5 also lost Rice :crying:
No Bikini Required was top dog
In each of the first 4 weeks, a different entry was top dog. This week we need to root for League of Ordinary Gentlemen (the 21-23 player team). They've had some bad luck with injuries, especially Isiah Pacheco.

Pyrrhic victory unless Rashee Rice can rise from the ashes or Cooper Kupp can come back soon. I survived the cutoff line of 140 with still not a single point from my TEs and little from my defenses.

140 is a stiff line. Passed with 155.

Sitting at 201.25 with ARSB - 14.4 and Detroit D - 8.0

QB - Daniels $17 (2x), Nix $11 (0x), Darnold $9 (2x). Nix may not get me anything, but didn’t want to roll with just 2. Daniels & Darnold looking like great deals so far.

RB – Taylor $28 (4x), KW3 $20 (1x), B Robinson $13 (4x), Allgeier $9 (0x), Vidal $3 (0x). Vidal was a dart for the last couple bucks. Happy with my top 3.

WR – ARSB $34 (2-3x), Nico $22 (4x), Nabers $19 (4x), Wicks $8 (2x), D Robinson $8 (0x), Dortch $5 (2x). Really happy across the top 3. Wicks can have a big day as we saw this week. Robinson could get something while Kupp/Puka are out, but hasn’t yet.

TE – Ferguson $17 (3x), Taysom $8 (2x). One of Taysom’s counting weeks was 3.40 in week 2 when I was REALLY thin elsewhere. Probably should have grabbed 1-2 cheap guys here instead of the RB/WR darts, seeing as how both of these guys have been banged up already.

PK – Moody $6 (3x), Dicker $4 (1x). Whatever.

TD – Colts $5 (3x), Lions $4 (1x). See above.

Always used: Taylor, B Robinson, Nico, Nabers

Dead money: $31 (Nix, Allgeier, Vidal, Robinson)
223 - my best week ever.

16th overall for the week.

There are only weekly standings, because each week everyone resets to zero. There are folks that keep track of what you are looking for though.
Ah, thank you.

This is literally is the highest I’ve ever been.

…in this contest.
:oldunsure:

190 but lost rice.
With him not counting this week, I’m down to two players who counted every week - Nabers and Friermuth.

The JW’s haven’t counted yet - javonte Williams and Jaylen Wright. I didn’t expect wright to do anything until mid to late season, so we’ll see how this works out.

I've seen a lot of people lamenting the loss of Rice this week. His injury may be the biggest one in my memory of this contest. To that end, I thought I'd pull some numbers regarding his impact through 3 weeks.

Rachee Rice was the most owned player in the contest starting on 4365 rosters and until his injury they had an 89% survival rate. In the week prior to his injury, we only lost 78 teams who rostered him (a 98% survival rate), after his injury we lost 817 (79%). A staggering jump. That doesn't mean the teams which lost him are now terrible. Because they aren't, they are average. What it does mean is that when you had Rice performing on your roster, your team was exceptional!

He put up 17.3, 18.5 and 29.1 points in weeks 1,2,3 respectively. Those scores made him the 13th, 16th and 3rd highest scoring WR by week. In his potential 12,497 starts in this contest, his score only went unused 29 times, giving him a 99.8% start rate for teams that rostered him. In teams that rostered him, his scores contributed to 13.5% of their total points in the contest. And among all rosters, Rashee's scores accounted for 5.6% of all the points scored in the entire contest. To say he has been a pillar of this contest through three weeks would be an understatement.

To put his impact in perspective, I compared him to the second and third most rostered WRs, Nabers and Shakir. (Both of which have been excellent picks, a credit to this site's user base and its pre-season coverage!) For kicks, I also included the third highest scoring WR Chris Godwin.

I'm wishing Rice a full recovery, and may all his targets go to Worthy, who happens to be on my roster :P

A fun thing to look at for Rice is his impact on his owners by their rooster size. Would think the 18s would have it rough.

-QG
I'm a 20, but rostered 5 total WR's, each with different byes. That way I could have at least 4 weekly options. This week I was already guaranteed to have Jameson on a bye, but didn't account for Rice, Shakir, and Nabers all to get banged up. Lamb may be my only WR this week.

Yeah. Also, the timing of his going down before the BYEs will almost certainly be impactful as teams lose players in week 5, and were likely counting on Rice’s participation.

Not an issue for my now Rice-less squad, but it could be down the line. I’ll have to check my remaining WR schedule to see if I’m gonna be left short in a week. 😬
