A fun thing to look at for Rice is his impact on his owners by their rooster size. Would think the 18s would have it rough.

-QG
I'm a 20, but rostered 5 total WR's, each with different byes. That way I could have at least 4 weekly options. This week I was already guaranteed to have Jameson on a bye, but didn't account for Rice, Shakir, and Nabers all to get banged up. Lamb may be my only WR this week.
I have rice out. Nabers/shakir banged up. Ridley/jameson on a bye. I may be stuck with Sutton and doubs this week. Just hope Engram plays and joins Ferguson/kittle to help a little with the injuries.

Yeah. Also, the timing of his going down before the BYEs will almost certainly be impactful as teams lose players in week 5, and were likely counting on Rice’s participation.

Not an issue for my now Rice-less squad, but it could be down the line. I’ll have to check my remaining WR schedule to see if I’m gonna be left short in a week. 😬
WR Nico Collins - $2233.10
WR DK Metcalf - $2117.40
WR Malik Nabers - $1923.10
WR Rashee Rice - $130.00
WR Brian Thomas Jr. - $1321.90
WR Khalil Shakir - $1010.20
besides the Rice injury, this is almost Crystal Ball level WR rostering here. Wow. Nice.
My top 4 RB have been pretty good too, outside of KW missing some time.

RB Kenneth Walker III - $2031.60
RB Devin Singletary - $154.30
RB Chase Brown - $1322.20
RB Brian Robinson Jr. - $1318.80

As the season goes on, the injuries pile up, our players head to Mexico for their bye weeks, and the Turk's appetite for more roosters steadily increases. Its natural for our collective anxiety to build. So I thought I'd hand out some metaphorical "TheWinz chocolate bars" to help everyone relax. Here are a few roosters that despite horrible situations still moved onto week 5.

Skiman
Here is a guy who has Pacheco, Mostert, A.J. Brown, Rashee, Thielen, Jonnu Smith and Marshawn Lloyd. Do you know what those players have in common? They all delivered a big fat goose egg. That's seven players, and $114 of dead cap. He and the rest of that roster are bringing that dead weight onto Week 5!

The appropriately named WhiteKnuckler :
Here's a guy that said, "I'm going minimum roster size. I'm not worried about injuries, I'm taking power backs like King Henry and David Montgomery. These guys don't suffer injuries, they cause them!" Unfortunately, by week four, eight of his 18 players are down. But to his credit, like Henry rumbling for a first down dragging defenders with him, he's keeping this drive alive and moving onto week 5.

Those are extremes, but there are 2077 rosters still alive that were missing atleast 4 players last week. This contest is very much a "You don't have to outrun the bear" situation, and there are plenty of campers limping into week 5. Hope this helps and good luck to all in week 5!

Week 5 starts with 6828 teams remaining (58.44% survival rate). With another 20% cut, that should bring us down to right around 5463 teams (46.71% survival rate).
Here are the ownership numbers for tonight's game:

QB - Cousins (673), Mayfield (314), Penix (44)
The masses missed out on Mayfield as the 23rd most common. Cousins has been a relative bust as the 9th most common.

RB - Irving (936), Allgeier (427), Robinson (343), White (35)
Bucky's survival rate is twice that of his teammate. That'll happen when they've scored the same, but one costs $22 more. Bijan/Tyler owners still waiting for their ROI.

WR - Godwin (316), Mooney (228), London (227), Evans (120)
A few big names here, but none were all that common.

TE - Pitts (987), Otton (265)
Pitts was the 3rd most common and is being outscored by Otton through 4 weeks.

PK - Koo (747), McLaughlin (197)
Koo has been a contest favorite for a few years, even as his price has increased.

TD - ATL (1139), TB (266)
The Falcons were the 2nd most common, behind only the Packers.

I scored my highest total of this season so far in week 4 at 203.80, with 4 players out with injury. I had 5 players out in week 3.

But things look rather bleak for week 5, as I have 11 players either out, or likely to be out in week 5. I have 4 byes, and 7 injured, with 5 of my 7 WRs likely out, leaving only Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillen as my only WRs. This would be a great time to get Njoku back, but I'm not counting on it. Just hoping I can somehow limp onward to week 6. This is a bad week to have Jared Goff on bye, because that leaves (grandpa) Stafford as my only QB option. He has only mustered an average of 14.70 and twice only scored 10.10 and 10.80. I might be on the outside looking in at this time next week.

I'm also feeling much worse about Stafford as my 2nd QB, and I also have Goff, so I have to use Staffords score this week. Also have to use Will Reichard and Atlanta D, as Bates and Chargers are my other kicker / def. Need big games from Bijan and KW3 to get me through this week.

I just saw an entry with 164.25 points. They have:
QB Cousins - 48.45
RB Robinson - 9.2
RB Allgeier - 4.0
WR London - 33.4
WR Mooney - 31.5
TE Pitts - 19.3
PK Koo - 18.4

Strangely, they didn't roster the ATL D.

I think they are going to have a tough week 12.

WR Malik Nabers - $190.00
WR Christian Watson - $130.00
WR Rashee Rice - $130.00
WR Joshua Palmer - $120.00
WR Jameson Williams - $100.00
WR Khalil Shakir - $100.00
WR Tre Tucker - $300

This WR group isn’t looking so great..

My strategy to cover byes this week was to roll out:

1. M. Brown/R. Rice/Worthy
2. Pat Mahomes in the middle of his 50/5000 season.

Ummm...that was a whiff.

thinking this week is going to get me as well. without rice, nabers, shakir leaves me rolling with pickens and brandon "i got paid" aiyuck. also fell for patty the baddy as he's my only qb. may be without bri. robinson at rb too.

Maybe if enough of us are in the same boat, some of us will survive? I'm missing Rice, Sabers, and Shakir, so I'm stuck with whatever scores Courtland Sutton and Rome Odunze get me... also stuck with 3pts from Atlanta defense, and Bijan didn't give me much either...

Feeling you all… missing AJB, Devonta, Rice, Shakir.:. I only have two receivers playing this week: Worthy and Iosivas…. F’ugly!

292 rosters have the trio of Nabers, Rice, and Shakir. They were the 3 most common WR's, and 1365 teams should be cut this week.

I am one of those 292. Mayfield helped last night
Same here.

I've got Worthy and Coleman as my only two this week.

Pitts help me last night, hopefully he can be a flex score.
Me three. I will be hoping for 4 usable scores from my RB's, because they are going to have to carry me this week.

James Conner vs SF
Najee Harris vs DAL
Brian Robinson vs CLE (questionable)
Jerome Ford vs WAS
Justice Hill vs CIN

So, if Robinson sits, I may have to use all 4 scores from the rest. I already have to take 3 lousy points from the ATL D, and whatever Karty gets at K.

I’d kill for those RB scores. Bucky starts for me most weeks.

Nabers out
Rice out
Shakir out
Jameson Williams bye
Ridley bye
Doubs doubtful
Sutton.

This group has been carrying me so far in the contest but I think this is it for me. Can Sutton get me 40?

I'll join the club. Between injuries and byes, I'm down to 3 RBs (KWIII, Javonte, Hill), 3 WRs (McLaurin, Odunze, Iosivas) and 2 TEs (McBride, Kittle), so all but 1 of them will count.

20 player roster. 7 on bye, 1 most likely not playing due to injury. Down to 12 or 13 players that "could" count for me this week. 2 played last night (WR & K) garnering me 30 points. I've got all positions covered including flex but, my hopes are high while reality is very low. If I survive and get to wk 6 I might have a decent chance to advance into the money weeks. I knew as soon as i chose my team members this would be my Rubicon week.

For those like me with limited options, who watched some nice scores in the ATL/TB game, all is not lost. Here are those scores, but more important, I've added ownership percentages:

QB - Cousins (48.45 - 9.9%), Mayfield (31.20 - 4.6%)
Massive score for 10% of the field, and a very good score for roughly 5%. Also, 34 entries have both, so just under 14% of the field have a QB score.

RB - Irving (6.60 - 13.7%), Allgeier (4.00 - 6.3%), Robinson (9.20 - 5.0%), White (8.10 - 0.5%)
Sorry if you rostered any of these guys, but this week they all underwhelmed.

WR - Godwin (11.60 - 4.6%), Mooney (31.50 - 3.3%), London (33.40 - 3.3%), Evans (23.20 - 1.8%)
From usable to awesome, but ownership levels for all of them are way down.

TE - Pitts (19.30 - 14.5%), Otton (8.90 - 3.9%)
A very good score for a very common player, and a ho-hum score from a rare one.

PK - Koo (18.40 - 10.9%), McLaughlin (16.80 - 2.9%)
2 great scores from a common guy and a rare one.

TD - ATL (3.00 - 16.7%), TB (6.00 - 3.9%)
Meh from the most common "player" of the night.

My team blows this week, but 2 things give me hope when I look at the numbers above. First, the RB's scored like crap. Second, the WR's weren't very common.

Since the latest injury updates, combined with the Byes, and I'm left with the following:

QB: Geno

RB: Jacobs + the tallest dwarf in the room (McLauglin, JWright, Perine)

WR: Waddle and Wicks

TE: Kincaid and Ferguson (and maybe a banged-up Taysom Hill) ETA: Taysom Hill out...

PK: Moody and Sanders

D/ST Saints (chasing 6 from Buccaneers)

Take that!

ETA: Geno, Jacobs, Waddle, Wicks, are mandatory scorers for me. The following pool will supply 1RB, 1TE and 2Flex: McLaughlin, JWright, Perine, Kincaid, Ferguson. Moody v Sanders, Saints (-6) v Buccaneers.

Oof.

What an odd and scary week. I have 7 RBs all healthy and playing and the primary carrier (only KW3 and Brian Robinson are dependable to do well though).

At WR, I went from feeling good to depleted with 5 of my 7 now out. Rice, Shakir, Jameson, Doubs, McMillan with goose eggs leaves these 2 counting…..Darius Slayton and Josh Reynolds. I can’t believe I just typed that.

At TE, I have 3 of 4 injured this week and will score Ferguson no matter what.

Week 5 was supposed to be easy since only have $13 on bye. It feels like many/most teams are facing similarly depleted lineups. Good luck all, especially those of us that are sweating before Sunday even starts!

I don't have anyone in the early morning game, and will be taking the 3 pts from the ATL D. I only have Brian Robinson, Jerome Ford, and Justice Hill going in the 1pm games, so I will surely know at least 1 of my flex scores by then.

I have James Cook, Kenneth Walker, James Conner, Jerome Ford, Tyrone Tracy, and Eric Gray going today, which is key because Rice, J. Williams, Kupp, and Nabers are out. Thankfully I have Wicks and Odunze going.

Njoku is playing today. He might score my only TE points I've had since Week One. Wil Lutz and LV or DET will be my ST points.

This is going to be a tough week, but if the RBs can come through, then maybe. I fear that Rice going down might sink the year.

Losing Jonathan Taylor and Rash Rice is gonna be tough to overcome. Bijan and Bucky didn't do much, but Cousins and Koo MIGHT get me over the hump this week, but I'm probably a short timer now. Shaheed, Terry Mc, Pop, DJ Moore and McMillan.....LETS GO!!!!

Burrow and Higgins are going to have to be lights out every single week for the Bengals have any chance with the defense being so porous. That will benefit my rooster as it has this week.
After 1pm:

114.90 + (Jav Williams/Dowdle - 0.00/0.00/6.40/6.60) + (Dortch/Tre Tucker - 0.00/0.00/9.00/29.30) + (Bowers/Kittle/Tay Hill/Parkinson - 0.00/0.00/0.00) + (Karty - 14.90) + (Packers/Broncos -0.00)

With Kittle and Bowers both scoring already things are looking good to move on to week 6.

-QG

We'll see how things stand once late games finish but as of now I'm 16 below cut line with potential flexes Ferguson, Dowdle, and Perine (replacing 3.0 and 2.3)... and then Monday Night I'll get to add all of Mahomes score. Currently looking like it's going to be a close one!

good news/bad news situation here:

Good News! - My long range plan of rostering Jonathon Brooks is finally paying off and I am now counting his score this week. The bad news is that he has 0 points.
