mebbe. I like, not love them. and my eardrums can only take so much. after my broncho experience in bushwick, I can say you'll be older than a lot of these kids' parents.@El Floppo The Beth’s are playing in Williamsburg in February. I’m going to check it out, see if I can be the oldest guy there. Any interest?
Don't chime in here much but I follow along. Good to see The Beths get mentioned as their album is one of my, if not THE, favorite album of the year.@El Floppo The Beth’s are playing in Williamsburg in February. I’m going to check it out, see if I can be the oldest guy there. Any interest?
I couldn't get enough of this track a couple years ago. Think these dudes are Dozer-adjacent, maybe an ex-member or two thereHear the Rivers - Greenleaf
Brand spanking new stoner rock that has been getting replayed for the past week on my playlists. Late to the show bus showing some life.
The boys were leaving town.cleopatrick for those looking for some other stoner rockish stuff. Album is called the boys... another Canadian two piece band which leads me to believe there is some sort of bass player shortage up north.
yeah.... no. not Yak. unless they've become electronica lounge bs.this week's RR...
new Yak album!
Starting this today. Two songs into #50 - Yo La Tengo - There's a Riot Going On, and it's already a winner.I'm gonna listen to all 50 of these. Will report back.

I mentioned about this when it came out- and I'm a big YLT fan- it's really sleepy and downbeat. sounds great, but lacking their usual louder and upbeat tunes.Starting this today. Two songs into #50 - Yo La Tengo - There's a Riot Going On, and it's already a winner.
thank god, that one took 30 seconds of extra effortGood Posting Judge reacted to this
That's the Twin Peaks dudes side project. I actually haven't checked it out, but probably should as I dig Twin Peaks.stumbled onto chicago outfit, Grapetooth who have an album out this year. kinda lo-fi post/pop-indie. I think I like them... but not sure yet.
cool- didn't know that. different, more experimental sound than twin peaks' (who I love) more garage guitary approach. That's the Twin Peaks dudes side project. I actually haven't checked it out, but probably should as I dig Twin Peaks.
usually hop-hop and soft bubble-gum indie. or have they mixed things up?I see Pitchfork released their top 2018 albums that nobody will listen to in 20 years.
Pretty bad list imoI see Pitchfork released their top 2018 albums that nobody will listen to in 20 years.
on the nose; more of the same I guess. Still pimping Earl Sweatshirt and Amen Dunes as geniuses. Stuff they push has a niche and some of it decent music, but there is no way I can see myself revisiting Snail Mail like ever again.usually hop-hop and soft bubble-gum indie. or have they mixed things up?
The best one on the list is Iceage's album which is top 10 for me. Then again I didn't check out Robyn's new one, so I might be missing out.Pretty bad list imo

Haven't been addicted to an album like this in a long time and I've done my fair share of spreading the word. Proud father moment was that within an hour of my son coming home yesterday from his first semester in college he had the guitar out and playing Not RunningConvince me to listen to something other than "Future me hates me." I DARE YOU!
My daughter just got home from her first college term as well and I have her listening to this album too. Awesome. Saw them live, at Bam Margera's bar, it feels like a dream now @scorchyI loved that glasvegas album from way back... seems like they've released an album of demos from that era- "home tapes". really like hearing these tracks again, and as different versions.
