I think you may be right, but I'll "predict" 2-3.
Cleveland at 1 and the Bills and/or Jets will likely trade up to slots 2/3/4. I do not think the Giants or Denver take one.
- I have never bought the theory that the Giants won't take a QB.
Eli was
benched last year. He
ranked 25th in the league of all quarterbacks. He is
37 and
has not done little over the past three years. Add, Odell being seen smoking a blunt with coke on a bed where he's pushing a girl to have sex with another dude and this talk of taking a RB or a guard and riding off into the sunset with another SB seems ludicrous.
I dug into this talk about not taking a QB and their isn't anything substantial behind it.
I am and have always been convinced, much like the Browns always taking a QB with the first pick, that
the New York Giants are going to take a quarterback with the #2 pick of the NFL draft.
- Then their is Denver and John Elway. The super genius who basically had Peyton Manning fall into his lap after he inherited the high pick that landed Von Miller.
Not so easy when you have to find your QB eh Elroy?
The Vikings went out and paid a ton to land Kirk Cousins when they had three guys who other teams scrambled to get after they got Cousins. They not only let Teddy and Bradford go but they also decided not to sign
Case Keenum, why? He simply is not that good. He
isn't very athletic, not all that big, can't move in the pocket like you'd want a franchise QB to move, and doesn't have the big gun. He isn't' anything special and he's' 30 so he's not a kid, and he kinda crapped the bed in the biggest game of his career.
So he's your guy John Elway?
Nope. Elway didn't pay him like a franchise QB, he doesn't come close to the sort of prototype that Elway reportedly prefers. Add, Elway and his staff coached both Mayfield and Josh Allen at the Senior Bowl and are making a tremendous effort to attend and document every Pro Day of the top QBs. They are decidedly still in the hunt, they aren't done.

...Given that the Broncos own the No. 5 pick in the draft and that Elway and his staff have been closely scouting the top passers in the class, the quarterback intrigue isn’t over in Denver.
Keenum’s introductory press conference in Denver was delayed until Friday because Elway, head coach Vance Joseph and other Broncos officials spent the past two days attending pro days at the University of Oklahoma to see Baker Mayfield and UCLA to see Josh Rosen.
The Broncos will send a contingent to Josh Allen’s pro day in Laramie, Wyo., next week, though Elway will not personally attend, and have a private workout scheduled in April with USC quarterback Sam Darnold.
They may not move up, they may not have to move up but if a QB falls into their lap do you think they'll take a guard or a defender?
