Cleveland Browns (8 Viewers)

Some of this stupid money being thrown around for half assed WRs and people complain about Landry,  :lmao:

Much rather have Landry at 15 million a year over a guy like Ryan Grant for 8 million a year.  I guess we could have two half assed WRs for the price of Landry.

All the more reason to draft your wide receivers.

Well, pretend we drafted Landry 4 years ago.  This is his 2nd contract.
Pretend we drafted ANY WR in the last decade aside from Josh Gordan.

We should collectively punch Ray Farmer in the face.

"I would say 'how important are those guys?'" Farmer told WKRK-FM in Cleveland, per The Plain Dealer. "Name the last big-time receiver to win a Super Bowl. Name the last mega-guy. (Gordon) matters to me because I like the guy and I think he's a really good player, but at the end of the day, when you look at the teams that have these mega-receivers, name the last guy that won a Super Bowl?... There are none. The last guy that really helped his team get there was T.O. (Terrell Owens)."

I cant figure out what you are trying to say here

Not in Camp Trade Down, at all.

We can walk away w any combo of saquon, Mayfield/darnold, chubb.

You do it. You just do it.

More lamenting our ignoring the position for forever. You mentioned Landry is on his 2nd contract, I’m assuming we passed on him at some point.

  :goodposting:  #justsaynotothetradedown
So if we draft a QB at 1, and then Barkley and Chubb go 2-3, then.........................

And if we dont take QB at 1, and mayfield and darnold go 2-3, then.....................are we gonna take Barkely and Chubb and not draft a QB??  Thats a fine play if we signed Cousins.

QB + trade down, my guess.  With Buffalo for 12, a 2nd, and 2019 1st
Pick value calculator says the 12th and 2nd are more than enough.  The only way that additional first is coming is if a team's top prospect is on the board and they think they are getting 1.1 talent.  For all the reasons people are saying Cleveland has to go QB at 1.1, you don't give up the farm for whoever's leftover.

The other issue is that there are 5 round one QBs.  That's a pretty high number, especially when there isn't a standout.  If the Browns are smart they add two franchise players right now.

12 and a 2nd??  No, that doesnt ad up to 4.  And even if it did, no way.  Pick 12 and a pick in the 50s to move up to 4?

What if Rosen is the highest on the Browns board?

In you're first scenario, you're f-ed, which is probably a good reason to trade up with the Colts right now.

Still thinking that there could be a contingent trade in the works with Buffalo and that the TT trade was part 1.

Part 2 would be the trade for the #4 pick for Buffalo's  2 1st's plus possibly recouping the 3rd sent in the initial trade.

Browns could then pick up a stud CB (Ward or Jackson) and JT's eventual replacement at Left OT (Brown or McGlinchey)

in the 1st round

For reference QB grades

Darold 7

Trubisky 6.3

Rosen 6.1

Watson/Mayfield/Allen 6.0

Mahommes/Jackson 5.9

Kizer 5.8

Falk/Rudolph /White 5.5-5.6

Barkley 7.4

Minka Fitzpatrick

If you take Barkley at 1 & Mayfield/Darnold go next, take Josh Rosen

Dont make it harder than it needs to be.

Trade calculator doesn't mean much in the wonderful world of quarterbacks. If one is there the Bills covet then talks start at two one's.

####### Miami traded Landry and then signed Albert Wilson and Danny Amendola for nearly the money Landry would have cost them.

Browns are doing good work this offseason. I’m not a huge Tyrod Taylor fan but even with him starting I see a second place finish in the North.

Been explained 100 times already why if u plan to draft a QB at 4 the whole staff should be fired.
Uh, yeah, no.  You get one of the top players in the draft in chubb.

Say Barkley goes to NY, Indy trades down someone picks say Darnold and then you have your pick of the rest.  The Bills could be enamored with someone else so you could still end up with Barkley.

I think its dumb to take him #1, then Barkely goes, then Chubb and then you are into the next tier of players.  Micah would be nice but he doesnt completely change a defense as much as pairing chubb with Miles

Agreed.  The Browns are definitely a team on the rise.

Hyde is no LeVeon Bell but I was hoping the Steelers would have let Bell go to FA and sign Hyde to the cap friendly figure the Browns did and use the rest of the cash to bolster the defense.
