My second time making it to the penultimate week. Got some tough bye weeks to navigate. Need Kyler Murray to ball out one time
Murray is my only active QB so I am right there with you. First time I have ever made it past week 10 for me. I have 4 on a bye week but they only cost me 23 dollars. They have been used only 9 times between the 4 of them.

Sheesh….figured Allen may move it more….kittles was no count as 49ers predictably struggled in snow. Had 5 players out due to injuries but I am hanging on by a thread.

166.25 with only McLaughlin tomorrow. Counter if he gets over 9.60…and he has only done that once alll year….lol…so thinking I am done with 166.25.

Line at 158.20 so hoping for something like tonight, I.e. a move of only 2-5 points only tomorrow. Can’t imagine Broncos/Browns having many that will move line…but fearing the Turk….

My ghost entry in remarkably similar position... 163.50 with only [McLaughlin - 9.60 (Jameson)] to go. First scoring appearance all season by Graham Gano this week, leaving only a combined $12 from Samaje Perine, Dylan Laube, and Hayden Hurst (IR) as the rooster dead weight through week 13. No major injuries other than Rashee Rice (and to a lesser extent Keon Coleman recently, who had previously counted in 4 of first 8 weeks as well as Jake Ferguson).

It's easy in retrospect to think I should have had one or two more high-quality skill players and less cheapie dart throws on my roster, but I wouldn't have had the foresight to cut some of those cheapies who didn't pan out but also retain guys like Bucky Irving and Tre Tucker who were strong contributors in multiple weeks.

McLaughlin didn't do quite enough to move my score, but nevertheless my ghost entry survived by 0.05 points this week.

I believe Footballguys used to/still does partner with myFFPC for a playoff contest. I believe you pick one player from each team to fill out a roster. I have found it to be a fun contest, and am thinking about doing it again this year. Does anyone know if there is a forum thread similar to this one, for that contest?

I think they stopped the partnership with myFFPC last year.

Am I correct in my thinking that I may benefit from Walker being out despite him being on my team because my RB depth is the major strength of my team? I’m thinking him being out will hurt other teams with less RB depth more and also lower the cut line. I already had a great showing from Monty, and then I have Rico, Bucky, and at least two others I’m forgetting who have come up huge for me recently.

Nope. It may help you a little relative to the 64 other teams that have Walker, but it hurts you (probably by more than that) relative to the 291 teams that don't have Walker.

I tend to agree with ZWK here. A guaranteed ZERO before guaranteeing you advance is not a good thing. Now, if Walker were playing on Monday Night and you were already above the line by a massive amount, I could see the appeal. But what if he's out week 15 as well? Do we really know how injured he is?

Ghost team is hurting today so far. After 1pm:

61.50 + (Burrow/Caleb Williams - 0.00) + (Dowdle/Vidal - 0.00/2.30/2.70/6.10) + (Higgins/Odunze/Dortch - 0.00/2.70/12.90/13.00) + (Kittle/Parkinson - 0.00/2.70/9.70) + (Karty - 11.80) + (Chargers - 3.00)

Good luck to the roosters still in the contest for real 🫡

+40 on the cut line. :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle:     :excited: :excited:       :pickle::pickle::pickle::pickle::pickle:

Higgins -11.3
Chargers -4

Plenty of cushion and room for more as well.

After getting cut week 14 the past 2 years, I think I'm finally in the finals. :headbang:

Drinks are on me.:suds:

35 above here!!

Rico and Chase -2.3 and Ferguson -10.9 to go so will be adding to it I think. Also have Iosavic but doubt he will do anything.
Ferguson active? Haven't been keeping up. If so he's against the 11.3 flex also.

Looks like he cleared protocol from what I'm reading.

Ghost Entry is 1.45 points above the cut before SNF/MNF games, with all of Mahomes, LAC Def - 4, and a few other possible points. Coulda/shoulda/woulda, but feeling pretty good about this year's entry strategy overall. I anticipate I'm really going to be torn next year whether to repeat the 1-QB strat... will just depend on pricing, bye weeks, and if there's any cheapies who I feel confident enough to gamble on. I feel like my biggest bust of a decision this year was picking Coleman rather than Shakir as the breakout BUF WR. On other hand Rice>Worthy in KC was the right call in principle, but that was my only major injury bust this year.

I am speechless…all the injuries, just knew I was out…then Darnold goes crazy…

and then, I have not used him one single week this whole season but Jalen Fing McMillian gets 2 tds this week…lol

My Ghost team (eliminated in week 12) is 10.2 points above the cut line at 142.55 with Chase Brown and Rico Dowdle still to play and with all of their points counting. I only had those two plus Singletary for running backs this week, and Singletary only scored 0.8 points. Looks like I would have made the finals if not coming up short 4.55 points in week 12. I also have the Chargers Defense - 4 points.

So after Sunday night the ghost team is looking rough.
125.70 + (Burrow - 21.40) + (Dowdle - 3.40) + (Higgins - 9.70)

Need Burrow to blow up for my real fantasy team so hope they carry the ghost along as well.

Good luck to those sweatin' for real as always.

If my team wouldn't have suffered from whiskey d*ck last week, it would be at nearly 174 with a chance for more tonight.

That's the thrill of the contest though, one down week and you're out.

anyone know when the scores for Sunday's night game and new cutline will be updated?
Scores were very low sunday night. I believe army eye's app to be up to date at 134.40; I am sitting at 146.65 with only chase brown left anything over 2.3 scores for me though. Go Chase!!!!

I am .9 points above the cut line currently. I have Ferguson left. I need him to outscore the cut line move to survive. :scream:

Every catch counts! So crazy that it has been 14 weeks, and my whole season comes down to does Jake get 2 catches or 3 in the second half...

Tensionmask isn't updated yet. But I think the last completion of the game was a pass to Ferguson. I think it moved me from under the cutline to over...What a contest, what a season!

Dunno if Tensionmask is correct or not but that last Burrow touchdown would be the one saved my ghost entry which finished at 150.75.

So for want of 13.05 points in week 8 I woulda been in the final dance :kicksrock:

Make the CMC pick just gutting - total disaster. Practically any other use of that $37 gets me through*.
Higgins hit the board some times but missing that crucial week 8 doesn't make me feel much better about that $19 either.

Good luck to those who made it all the way!

-QG

* - of course I would have done another dozen combinations without him that inevitably would have made me remove some of my GOOD picks...

With a final cutline of

146.65

This is now my last cutline update, good luck to all those that made the final 250 and to those 11 that still won a prize in Week 14 final cuts!

Start 11695
10% Week 1 Cut to Number – 10528
10% Week 2 cut to Number – 9477
10% Week 3 cut to Number – 8533
20% Week 4 cut to Number – 6828
20% Week 5 cut to Number – 5467
20% Week 6 cut to Number – 4375
20% Week 7 cut to Number – 3502
30% Week 8 cut to Number – 2454
30% Week 9 cut to Number – 1718
30% Week 10 cut to Number – 1203
30% Week 11 cut to Number – 844
30% Week 12 cut to Number – 591
40% Week 13 cut to Number – 356
40% Week 14 cut to Number – 214 (means the top 11 non-playoff teams this week win a prize)

Notes From Contest Rules:
- In weeks 1--14, the cut is based on scores from the current week only. Scores reset each week.

- Specifically, the cut will be determined as in the following example. Suppose it is week 7 and there are 2,394 entries at the beginning of the week. Because the cut percentage is 20% for that week, 2394 will be multiplied by 0.80 and the resulting number, if not an integer, will be rounded UP to the next greatest integer. In this case, 2394 * 0.8 = 1915.2. We round up to 1916. The entry with the 1916th-highest score, and all entries with an equal or greater score, will move to the next round.

- if fewer than 225 participants remain after week 14, then prizes will be awarded to eliminated participants according to highest score in week 14. If prizes are still unawarded after that, then highest score in week 13, and so on.

We started this week with 6 folks eligible for @Joe Bryant extra $100 prize. They all advanced!!!!

Moving on to the finals are:
@bamabuddha @BlackCrowes @scottybo @Scoresman @JaBoo @da_budman :clap:

Of note
- Scoresman was this week's top dog with a score of 188.05 (30th)
- JaBoo was this week's lowest advancing team with 147.45 (206th)

Good luck in the finals!

Also, for the above 6 folks, send @Joe Bryant a PM with your name and address. Don't forget to say you are one of the 6 winners of his awesome extra $100 contest.
